                                                                                      Did not live up to our expectations. Ploughmans Board was mediocre. Fish & Chips were awful.. Fish and fries both cold, soggy and tasteless. Braised Short Rib was pretty good though but certainly not worth the trip. Beer was good. Extremely loud on a Friday night! Won't be back.

                                                                                      The staff was friendly but service too way too long. Took half an hour to even get our drinks and about an hour for food. The food was underwhelming and definitely of what you would expect for this establishment.

                                                                                      Too noisy. I am 66 years old. Made my reservation 2 months in advance and noted in the reservation that it was for our anniversary. I also mentioned this to the hostess when we arrived; yet was seated at a cocktail table on the open wall to the casino. My husband had to turn his hearing aids off. I asked for us to be moved to a quieter spot and reiterated that it was our anniversary. The manager came and told us the music was piped into all parts of the restaurant. Of course, he had to lean in and speak loudly to be heard over the din. I told him that just music would be preferable to the casino noise and loud conversations of the constant stream of passersby; I hear just fine. They moved us to the intersection of server traffic to the kitchen and cross traffic to the restroom. Still, quieter than the original seating and the new table was big enough to hold more than your waterglass and your phone. The food was excellent except for the crust on the beef wellington. We've had it here multiple times and it never tasted like that before. I would liken it to the chemical taste you get from biscuits out of a pop-open can. It wasn't just me; my husband pulled his crust off and set it aside as well. The interior of the wellington was perfect, as were all other details of the meal. However, they were out of the one beer that my husband wanted to try. Seriously? On a positive note, our server Roger was great! He was attentive and prompt with our dishes and drinks. Before this turn of events, I was planning to bring my sisters here to celebrate a birthday lunch; now I am reconsidering as it seems this place may be going downhill.

                                                                                      Can't say enough how much we enjoyed our experience. Beautiful ambiance and wonderful staff. The meal was perfection and we were even given a complimentary dessert. This was our third time dining here and will not be our last.

                                                                                      We went last night as a family ( 2 teenagers). The food was absolutely delicious. My husband and I got the onion soup, Wellington and sticky toffee pudding. One of the best meals I’ve ever had. My daughter had a Caesar salad and my other daughter had the pigs in a blanket and mushrooms. Also delicious. Beers on tap also awesome. We went there specifically because it was so highly rated and it didn’t disappoint!!!!
