The food was good, had the fried olives which were good but needed a dipping sauce. The Cesar salad was fairly tasty the dressing was nice and light with good flavor. Also tried the bone marrow which was on the disappointing side, barely any marrow at all to put on the crostini. The New York with chimichurri was delicious although we ordered it medium rare and it was more on the rare side. The wine list is so over the top price wise most bottles are well over $100 so ridiculous. Out waiter wasn’t very good. Not attentive at all didn’t explain anything on the menu, didn’t make clear that there is a burger that’s always available but not on the menu then when we asked about it didn’t tell us the cost. Didn’t bother with dessert since the wine was so expensive. Don’t think I’ll be going back.

Knocked it out of the park again! I love this place. From start to finish it’s always such a good experience. The wine list is incredible and the craft cocktails are superb! Thank you for making my daughter’s 21st Birthday wonderful!

We had a great experience. It is a “grown up”place and we had some reservations about bringing our 10-year-old with us. Surprisingly, not only are they very laid back for a place that has clearly top-notch food and service but they are also very nice to kids and even have a children’s menu. They have a very impressive menu but the thing we loved the most was a simple radish appetizer. Great array of fresh & super flavorful radishes with a very interesting cashew based dip that had a strong dill flavor. Great drink menu and duck fat fries are my new favorite. They grill pretty much all the meats, but they didn’t have any fish on the menu this time, we’ll try our luck next time. We’ll definitely be back.

We have eaten here a few times and was really looking forward to spending Mother's Day evening here. The service was outstanding and the drinks were great. Unfortunately the food fell short of our usually experience. The appetizers were amazing, it was the main courses that just left us disappointed. My wife ordered the lamb shanks (too much dill), the meat was cooked well but had very little flavor and the dill overpowered everything on the plate. I ordered the cheeseburger (too much bun to burger ratio). It would have been much better with a different bun. I upgraded and included the bone marrow which sadly only gave a tiny single scoop to add to my burger. Our daughter's filet was cooked to perfection though. Our son ordered the Pork Katsu which was also good.

This was our second time so obviously we like the restaurant. This time happened to be Mother’s Day (by accident). You know how that holiday can be but the service was excellent. Very friendly and just attentive enough. Food was well prepared and delicious. The linguine with clams can be very rich but this light and tasty. My husband really enjoyed his beet salad and the wedge was just right. He’s also a bread pudding nut and it was so good he almost licked the plate. Good times.

We visited Goose & Gander on a Sunday night so it wasn’t all that busy. Our server, RJ, was very attentive and described the specials. We ordered the tempura fried fava beans he recommended for an appetizer and they were delicious! The cocktails were excellent—some of the best! I had a play on a Margarita which was with spicy pepper and ginger. My husband had a Manhattan. We split the G&G burger and ordered a duck egg on top. (The other option, which is bone marrow on the burger, is also delicious.). For dessert we had bread pudding with a Guinness caramel sauce and Jameson ice cream. All was spectacular!

We sat outside in the covered patio and it was lovely. Service was excellent, cocktails were wonderful and the food was great.

Somewhat disappointing. Small amts of food for valve and high costs. Food was good but not worth the cost. Service was good. Most of restaurant inside was empty but we did eat early for that area

We have eaten at Goose and Gander three times. Each time the staff is friendly and helpful! The food is delicious and the drinks are creative and delicious as well!! We will be back.

Jason and the team are always welcoming and do a great job. The food and service were excellent. The menu had something for everyone. I loved the Pork Khatsu and the guys in my family are big fans of the burgers. Yum!

Every time I go there, I feel that my experience is very personalized. Everything from the staff to the food to the ambiance is magnificent. My absolutely favorite place to eat in all of Napa. I cannot speak more highly of this amazing restaurant. Goose and Gander is a must-visit for anyone in the area.

I was on a sisters getaway weekend. My sisters had never eaten at Goose & Gander so I recommended we have dinner there. I love the mushroom soup! I started with the soup and they split a wedge salad. Both were delicious. I’m vegetarian so I had the Grilled Cauliflower appetizer for my dinner and my sisters both had the Filet Mignon. Everything was wonderful. We finished the night with a coffee.

The mushroom is something to die for. They even gave us a printed out recipe when we said we liked it so much. Great place to have a cozy dinner.

On a trip to Napa valley, we had dinner on Thursday and afterwards booked again for Friday. The bone-in ribeye was generous enough to split for two. Perfect medium rare and sliced in the kitchen. Accompanied by two sides and an appetizer- perfect amount. On Friday, came early and had a cocktail in the basement bar - wonderful atmosphere and fireplace. Then to dinner to have the specialty burgers with the duck egg on top. Will definitely go again next time in St. Helena.

Good and service were great! Bathrooms were very dirty and seemed to be out of order. A nice restaurant should have well lit, clean , useable restrooms. They were absolutely not up to code

We had an exceptional dining experience for our anniversary dinner!! The staff treated us to some top notch Champaign, while wishing us happy anniversary🥂 Our server Anna was friendly and helpful ! The Goose & The Gander is located on a tree lined street in st. Helena in a vintage home with a large inclosed outdoor eating deck and an open front patio! The ambiance is dressy or causal, the food is excellent and a good value!

We went here to celebrate my husband’s birthday and the staff, including the manager, went over the top to give us a wonderful experience! The staff is A++ on service and attentiveness. The food is incredibly delicious and I highly recommend the mushroom soup! It’s velvety smooth and oh so delicious! This was our third visit to this restaurant because we love the burgers, soup, and beer; but this birthday experience with the Goose and the Gander is unforgettable.Thanks for making his birthday dinner so special!

I ate here for the second time. The first time I got the scallops, which were the best scallops I have had recently. I decided to get the filet the second time, worried I would be bummed I didn’t get the delicious scallops. And the filet was AMAZING!! Cocktails are also excellent!!

Lovely St. Helena restaurant in what was The Martini House. Dined on a Wednesday night, so it was not busy. Stand out dish was the mushroom soup. I’d go back just for that! Also had their burger, which was juicy and cooked as requested. Nice wine/cocktail list. Not a perfect 5 stars, but I’d certainly return/recommend.

My husband and I live in St Helena and have not been back to G & G (except downstairs for cocktails) in years and we were unbelievably surprised how amazing our experience was. Im going to go tomorrow night with a girlfriend. This will be back on the list for a must go to for us!!! Big Turn Around and So Grateful!!!!!.

Extremely loud restaurant. We couldn’t hear each other at all. The wedge salad was ok. The mushroom soup had too much sherry, the chicken was burnt and dry, the fries were good however. The bread pudding was way too sweet, and that was burnt too believe it or not. Service was not great either. We won’t be back.
