We had reservations and also had reserved 3 lobsters because it was the special on Mondays. Very excited about our evening! When the waitress asked for our drink order she also just mentioned NO LOBSTERS. We asked why because we had reserved them. She didn’t know so we asked for the manager. She came over and said they didn’t get their normal delivery. We explained we had reserved 3 she didn’t seem to care. I said well you sent me 3 reminders regarding my reservation you could have called or mentioned that. She said they are automated calls. So we decided we would go somewhere else for dinner. So sad because we are usually regulars there !

Lobster night reservation doesn’t mean they reserve one for you. Service timing was poor. 2nd time with below average service. We dine there monthly but we will skip it for a while.

Such great food! Every entree comes with a salad and bread. Felt like you got your money’s worth. My only con was that we were put on a high top table when we didn’t request that through our reservation. There were many other tables open but we were told we couldn’t sit anywhere else because those tables had been requested by other guests. The high tops were crammed on this area and it was very tight. Other than that, it was a great experience.

Excellent dinner last night (4/11/24). The place gets busy and the only reservation we could get was at 4:15p. No big deal. It's the weekend. The restaurant is beautiful and we loved sitting in the room surrounded by bottles of wine. Out waitress was excellent. She was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and answered several questions. We had the Low Country Shrimp Platter and the Artic Char (coastal style) over spinach and risotto. Both were fantastic and have our stamp of approval. We would recommend Goin Coastal to anyone. Just remember to check Open Table for reservation times.

Fantastic fresh fish and seafood . Enthusiastic staff well rehearsed on menu items and can answer all your questions, willing to modify to your requests on preparation and cooking . We will definitely be back.

Delicious fresh seafood consistently at Goin’ Costal and today was no exception. Andersen took excellent care of us and we always experience professional, friendly service by all the wait staff. The corvina and amberjack were both delicious! Highly recommend Goin’ Costal.

Great kitchen and Chef. Perfectly prepared and cooked Covino and Oysters on a busy Friday night. The "extensive" wine list however was anything but, with only a few bottles on offer. My three choices were "out of stock", and my fourth choice had to chilled from room temperature. Beverage Director please take note. Very poor showing.

The service was special. Salad was fresh and delicious. Shrimp and Grits perfect Salmon with the Coastal Sauce was fantastic. The green beans and slaw were outstanding. Zack and Josh run a great place. Friendly and Cheerful.

The lobster Mac & cheese was great, a lot to eat and heavy. My wife’s shrimp was very good, large shrimp. Server, Lexi C was very helpful and attentive, great attitude. We had Kinker cab wine, which was just right

First time there and it was excellent. Service & Food was right on. Not rushed, food was brought out properly with some time available between courses so we could talk.... not stacking on top of each other, Was done right! Little noisy in the back room but there was a small group there that had no clue how to use their inside voices. Once they left it was perfect.

The food was great. The server was great. The only complaint is that we specified in the Open Table reservation that it was a birthday celebration. The birthday wasn’t acknowledged at all which was very disappointing as this was the only reason we were going to this restaurant.

Our waitress was excellent, however, it was very busy, the noise level was high and our wait time was long to get our meals. My salmon was perfect but the green beans were hard and the salad was bland and overloaded with dressing. The prices were surprisingly high so not sure we will be back.

Amazing dinner this week. Halibut and redfish were perfect. The fingerling potatoes are always a favorite. Friendly and super good service! One of our favorite restaurants.

Our food was very fresh and perfectly cooked. We sat at the bar and enjoyed watching our bartender prepare craft cocktails. Our cocktails were delicious!! The Lobster special is amazing!!

My dinner companion summed it up perfectly, saying, "If this were the first time I ever dined here, I would never come back." Goin' Coastal has been my favorite Canton restaurant for nearly four years and I was so disappointed last night. While the service was excellent as always (Lexi!!), the food and cocktail were lackluster at best. There were new bartenders (Phillip is the best and we missed him!!) we've never seen, and that was reflected in the Coastal Manhattan that was not even the same color it always is (that's our regular cocktail there so we know it well). The glass was "short" by about 3/4" from normal and the taste was nowhere near the same. The salad is normally my favorite part of the meal and it was inedible - no flavor at all and nonexistent dressing (which makes the salad). We even mentioned it and were told "yeah, that's not our usual people making it." We didn't eat it. The food took an incredibly long time to arrive. We have never had a wait that long, even on a Sat. night. We had a reservation, were seated immediate, but food took over an hour to arrive (the fish was cooked well; however, the preparation we ordered was not what we got). The creme brulee sugar top was chewy like a caramel candy, yet burned. I'm not even sure how they managed that. Unfortunately, we will be giving Coastal a break to regroup before we return. It was not a $120 meal by any stretch. I have recommended this restaurant to dozens of people and have brought many newcomers there to introduce them to my "favorite" place, but I won't be doing that anymore. Very sad about this! :(

What concerns me the most about your review is that you wrote a review we had an opportunity to correct (the salad) and missed the other moments to correct right away for both of you. We know and appreciate how much you have loved us here at Coastal for years. I wish you'd have stopped to let me know y'all were disappointed and dissatisfied. Between Lexi and myself we could have turned those frowns upside-down. Not one darn thing other than a kitchen that was backed up were things we could not have rectified in the moment. We'd have made you new drinks on the spot or I'd have had John or Josh come and speak to you both personally. I hope you'll reach out to my private response and that we will see you both back sooner rather than later.

Second time I’ve been to Going Coastal. First time I went it was in December and was great, this time it was disappointing. Tuna starter was delicious. The salad was under seasond. The Monkfish main course, was bland, it was served cold and was overcooked, the chipolte collard greens and you wouldn’t have known they had been seasoned. The desert was bread pudding was again delicious but it was cold in the middle.

We hate to hear you got an entrée that was served to you cold and that could have been seasoned more for you. Both of these things we could have taken care of in the exact moment you were dining with us. We hate hearing about these things after the fact. Please make sure to talk with your servers when you dine with us because we will strive to make it right for you.

We enjoyed our 3 meals. I had the white fish with miso. My husband had the seafood bowl and my son had the filet. All were delicious. Fritz was a great waiter. This is one of our favorite restaurants.

Probably my favorite restaurant in Cherokee County. Food is always fresh and service is outstanding. Get there early as they do run out of things since everything is made fresh!
