Gjelina is a restaurant specializing in New American cuisine. Open every day from 8 a.m. until 11pm, serving breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner.
For breakfast, try 9 grain pancakes with butter and maple syrup or warm banana buckwheat loaf with butter and jam of the day. Brunch options include Moroccan baked eggs and 7 grain porridge. Gjelina offers a variety of oysters, crudo, charcuterie and salad options to start at lunch and dinner. Main courses include pizzas from our wood fired oven and entrees like duck confit, house made pastas and roasted organic half chicken.
*Only ADA certified animals are allowed in Gjelina
*A 20% Mandatory Service Charge is added to your check. Our belief is that every hourly Gjelina employee contributes to your service and 100% of the MSC will be distributed amongst them.

Bad vibe. Felt like they were doing us a favor. Staff wouldn’t serve spinach salad with the dressing on the side

Although we were satisfied I don’t think the food has progressed over the years. The food is good is it worth the prices and is it special that I am not sure. Staff was great actually that has gotten better and we love the item if gratuity added to the bill

Food was ok, very oily. Service was good. Had to sit on high tops even though I reserved many days in advance.

It’s no surprise that we had an understated and lovely dining experience that this outstanding restaurant. Menu is as creative as anticipated, and the food was absolutely first rate. Lovely service, great atmosphere. As New Yorkers, we look forward to its long anticipated outpost’s arrival in our city.

Host wouldn’t let us sit outside because of our dog. Had no empathy for family and no compassion. Disappointing because we were very much looking forward to it. Oh and said no show when we actually were refused to be seated. Not the first time that the people working there show a rude behavior.

Food was wonderful, service was very knowledgeable, and music was way too loud. Sitting at a 4 top right behind the host and literally could not hear other people at our table. Even couldn’t hear the server unless they came to each person and spoke in their ear. So he ended up walking around the table just to answer questions individually for every course. Bussers and food runners would have to yell at us for what the dishes were. Overall food was great, experience was very lacking for a family dinner. Great for having great seasonal meal but would only return for a possible date night.

Delicious. Incredibly busy, chaotic atmosphere. Getting seated, even with a reservation, took quite a long time; food also took a very long time (around 40 minutes) to emerge from the kitchen. Food was beautiful and tasty; the atmosphere is just so bustling that you need to adjust your expectations and bring your patience in order to fully enjoy it.

I have been to GJELINA many times for lunch and this was my first breakfast experience. The menu is extensive and very creative. I ordered the duck hash with crispy egg and it was delicious. Highly recommend for a leisurely breakfast!
