Le Galvin La Chapelle a été acclamé par la critique, et avec raison : c'est une véritable destination culinaire. Ce restaurant fabuleux, situé juste à côté de la célèbre Bishopsgate à Londres est l'œuvre des célèbres frères chef-restaurateurs Chris et Jeff Galvin, et incarne leur approche de la restauration, dans tous les sens du terme. I enjoyed my meal. It’s a lovely venue. I thought the food was very good, but perhaps not outstanding. A few small things just didn’t quite click. The wine I ordered was a bit off. (Resolved after I told them) They forgot a cheese course and then, when I asked, had a go at changing the order of the courses instead of taking the food back and brining the cheese (telling me that nothing was wrong). For the money I am not sure I would rush back.

Fantastic evening celebrating my husbands birthday and the hospitality was just amazing in particular Rocco and Yves. We opted for the tasting menu with the wine pairing. Yves is so knowledgeable and made the experience extra memorable with taking us on a journey with the wine. Rocco made us feel so welcome with his warm nature and we will now be regulars! Highly recommend

Lovely unique venue, old but well looked after. Odd pieces of furniture everywhere. Great Michelin star service, you are looked after well and feel welcomed. Not much choice if you cant eat fish or pork from the set menu, however everything is divine when served and great value for Michelin rated food.

Solid experience for the money but don’t take your own wine unless its a very valuable one. Corkage charge is very steep if not precipitous!

We had a fantastic meal, the food was amazing and the service first class. It’s been six years since I last visited and I wasn’t disappointed. The wild mushroom starter was the star today but everything was wonderful. Remains my favourite restaurant.

We were bitterly disappointed by the experience the food was at best average but the service was second rate we arrived at our table at 7.30 and received our last course at 11.40, our waitress managed to forget the extra course we ordered and got one of our friends sweet course wrong, not what you expect from a Michelin Star Restaurant

Only disappointing aspect was that we were sat at the very uncomfortable bench seating table where it was not ideal to sit opposite each other for comfortable private conversations. There were many tables unoccupied and I would have appreciated if better table (best at the time) was offered. Apart from that we appreciate the food the service and the surrounding.

Food and service outstanding as usual, the building is amazing but is it really necessary to have a 4 times mark up on wine ? the 1st cru st aubin at j sheekey is £60 ! cheaper

I have been a few times to this restaurant but the price was crazy and I hated the main course (a whole shared duck) and so did my guest. Only French people can cope with a huge hunk of under-cooked meat like that . Not one for the London market

Absolutely loved Galvin La Chapelle! I accidentally went to the bistro restaurant and the owner was kind enough to walk me to the correct entrance for La Chapelle. From the get go everyone was warm and welcoming. The food was amazing from start to end, if i could give it more than 5 stars I would, service was impeccable and attentive. Considering they had a private function going on upstairs, everything was running smoothly and we felt catered to regardless. The spicy margaritas was our go to drink that evening, so huge shoutout to our bartender. Definitely coming back again. Thank you for an amazing birthday!

I’ve brought my Mum to lots of Michelin star restaurants in the past and we enjoyed all of them. You know it will be small portions, which is fine as it’s the experience you are there for. We did find the portions particularly small compared with other 2 and 3 Michelin star restaurants. The waiting staff are friendly and attentive, and they do bring round decent (though not brilliant) bread constantly in between and during courses as that’s what’s there to fill you up. It seems like a loss not to just provide seasonable vegetables or potatoes that accompany (at least most of) the dishes, as they do in other fine dining restaurants. I enjoyed my first vegetarian course but the second was just alright, it lacked depth of flavour; a lot of fine dining restaurants are yet to figure out how to create complex flavour profiles for vegetarian mains.

I visited this restaurant for a birthday lunch and wasn’t disappointed. The food is absolutely delicious and the staff are amazing. My next visit will be for a Sunday lunch, which I highly recommend.

The wobbly table, dust on the shelf by the table, and the hand drier in the toilet didn't work. The dessert was good, other food - nothing special. Service needs improvement.

The food was excellent-very good turbot as the main course. However I have downgraded the ambience due to the fact that the next table there was an “influencer “ who took photos of every dish that arrived over the course of almost 2 hours. This involved setting up an additional blinding flashlight that was very disturbing. The staff took no action over this despite the disturbance to other diners. Maybe the online support from influencers is important to the restaurant

The service is stand out - they make you feel so special. The food is good. We went for the set menu and the portions are a little small. The atmosphere is gorgeous. They didn't rush us, we stayed for 3h (table of 2). Overall lovely evening - Ill be coming back!

We tried the 7 course taster menu and every course was lovely. This was certainly a fine, fine meal. Ambience was low key, and sophisticated and the restaurant had a gentle buzz of fellow diners conversing. Overall a lovely place for a special occasion. Yes expensive, but you'll enjoy your time there

This is one of the best restaurants in London. It always delivers on every metric one can measure restaurants by. Food, wine, ambiance and service are simply outstanding!

An excellent dining experience. We had booked the Christmas set meal but we opted to go a la carte in the end - food and service were outstanding. Great selection of drinks and an amazing cheese trolley

We were disappointed that the seven courses menu was not available. The a la carte menu was thin. The food was tasty but not more. The wine was very good .
