After dining at all three locations, I must say that my husband and I prefer Gallaghers 527 overall. Not only is the food better but so is the service. We had high expectations for the original restaurant and were very disappointed. My steak was cooked perfectly but had no flavor and the sweet potato casserole tasted more like pumpkin pie for some reason. We will continue going to 527 in the future.

As a long time patron who never had a bad experience last night was disappointing. The food overall was very good. Some of the side dishes were average at best. The most disappointing experience was the below average service. Constantly had to request silverware and water refills. Very seldom saw our server. It appears that all the wait staff is new and poorly trained. Not sure what happened as many of the former service staff was top notch and had many years of experience but no longer there

The server, Justin, was exceptional. He didn’t hesitate to return hamburger served rare when request was for medium. Iced teas and water were refilled without reminders. We were originally offered a table next to a noisy service station even though we were among the first guests to arrive and had a reservation. After requesting a quieter setting, we were placed in a corner which was very pleasant. The grilled salmon and catfish entrees were delicious and tastefully presented. Hot bread was brought to the table immediately after we were seated. A very nice touch. Overall, we highly recommend Gallagher’s Grill!

Great lunch spot in Covington! We went with 4 ladies so that we could catch up and we were not rushed. Cocktails were great and food even better.

Everything was outstanding with exception of the noise level! Unfortunately we were seated next to 4 extremely loud people, I realize that was not the restaurants fault, however it did diminish the experience!! Our server was Keith, whom we have had before and he was excellent as usual!!

A Superior dining experience. Veal Chop was excellent. Food and service are simply the best. I highly recommend this restaurant.

This is a local restaurant for me but I used Open Table to book the reservation for Easter Brunch. I received the usual Open Table text/email asking me to confirm on Saturday. I also received a phone call from the restaurant on Saturday asking me to confirm that we would be coming. On arrival we were taken to one of the outside tables. We were the ONLY people provided service in this area. This did not make the environment seem like we were out eating a Brunch. I think that the person who called me on Saturday could have alerted us to the fact that we may be eating alone ....or possibly asked me for preferred seating .....or offered an alternative time for dining. Additionally, we arrive the hostess did NOT offer us any options or alert us to the fact that we might be dining ALONE.

This is the best food in the whole area. It's as good as any of the top restaurants in New Orleans. Our server was Jordan, and he was absolutely excellent. Whatever you do, consider getting the crabcakes!

We had the halibut and it was cooked perfect. It had large pieces of crab meat. The service is top notch. I highly recommend.

My husband had the Ribeye and I had the petite filet. Sides were spinach and artichoke, and asparagus. Everything was delicious. Our waiter Keith was so nice and attentive. Joshua was very polite and nice as well. Was my husband’s Birthday dinner. Thanks guys!

Phenomenal food, everything was spectacular. Servers were very attentive to us. It was my first time there, will be back. THE WHITE CHOCOLATE BREAD PUDDING, there are no words for how great it was.

I am a fan of Pat Gallagher. However, the Covington location has been sub par now twice in a row. Last night I had the crispy redfish special. The first time it came out burned. The panko breading was dark brown and hard as a rock. The second time there was hardly any crab meat. The maitre d sent more crab after I explained what happened. However, the fish was bland which is unusual for a Pat Gallagher restaurant. On a previous visit , I ordered Pompano. It was strong and over done. Guess I will stick with 527 as the food is consistently good there.

I dont remember my waiters name but both him And the bud boy stayed on top of their game happier music would have been Nice, just bc you could here several drunken Woman cackling loudly I sent text to sit by bar area so we can hace tv but no one responded so we sat in front section which we didn’t want I didn’t tell hostess upon arrival just bc we wanted to be courteous

Delicious food and great service! Restaurant was full at our reservation time which was 5:45pm on a Saturday. It was louder than I would expect from a fine dining establishment. We thoroughly enjoyed our fish dishes (Trout Sheila and Panko-encrusted Redfish with a buttery mushroom sauce). We enjoyed warm French bread and butter while we waited for first course of soup and salad. They arrived quickly and our entrees arrived just as I finished my salad. Really quick! We enjoyed delicious crème brûlée topped with fresh berries for dessert. We look forward to returning to Gallagher’s Grill and trying his other restaurants as well.
