We have eaten at this restaurant several times over the past few years. We like it there very much. The food is very good, but the service is even better. Our Waiter (Areon) is very knowledgeable and very friendly. We always ask for him.

We celebrated my husband’s 70th birthday here and we were not disappointed!!! Everything was fabulous! The hostess was delightful. Overall wonderful experience. We’ll be back! Steak frites was amazing!

As the Gaby Brasserie Française was right next to our hotel, we decided to have breakfast there and didn't regret it for a second! The food was incredible and the service even more incredible which is why we decided to eat there for the rest of the days. Dhoz and Benny from the service put a smile on our faces every day. The breakfast and seeing them was our highlight of the day. Thank you so much for everything! such great food paired with this incredible service is very rare to find!

This is a restaurant in a hotel. The salad and onion soup were very good. The pate and burger were just ok. Can only comment on the food I ate. I think $10 coffee and tea is a bit much. They should tell you it's not for one person. Give you coffee press. You can share it and not spend so much money for one person. Cute and cozy restaurant.

We hadden hoge verwachtingen van dit restaurant. Helaas viel het tegen omdat het eten gewoon niet goed is. We hadden uien soep, die was prima. Daarna hadden we kip en zeebaars, beiden hadden een muffe smaak, de geur van oud karton. Bieding was vriendelijk maar ook daar hebben E steken laten vallen. Voorbeeld: we hadden coctails te drinken als aperitief, deze waren nog half gevuld en de soep kwam al. Helaas zeer teleurstellend.

Always a pleasure dining at Gaby Brasserie Française every time we're in NYC. Food and service are always excellent. The staff is always friendly and attentive. The service was great and the atmosphere is lovely. The food has gone down over the last few years and the prices are unreal for what is served even by New York standards.

For a French restaurant, the wine menu was extremely slim and the food menu had minimal choices. The tables were bare and uninviting. Just not what we were expecting for the price point.

Three of us came first the pre-theatre dinner. We chose Gaby because of the proximity to the theatre and we were in the mood for French! The atmosphere is very pleasant and relaxing. We did not feel rushed at all. Which was wonderful for a Friday evening. The appetizers were a Caesar salad, tomato-lavender soup and the ginger butternut squash soup. When tasting the tomato soup one could envision the lavender fields in the countryside if France. There was a wisp of lavender with each spoonful. The ginger butternut squash soup was delicious and here it was easy to see the contemporary food with the American influence. The same can be said about the Caesar salad. The entrees were the duck l’orange, the roasted chicken and the pasta with kale pesto and beans. Each of these entrees had the light flavoring of France while having a more pronounced contemporary and American flavor. For desert was American cheesecake and a chocolate lava cake. All of the food was delicious and the service was excellent. Will definitely being going back and would absolutely recommend this restaurant.

We enjoyed our Valentines dinner here. Though it was a price fixe, accommodations were made for us with the salad. Our server, Meto, was outstanding.

We were going to a show on Valentine's night and I wanted to choose a restaurant not too far away from the theater. I picked Gaby because I wanted French food for a change (I am sooo sick of Italian). What I did not know (maybe my bad) that they only offered a Valentine's fixed menu that night. $88pp. Well, the food was ok, but NOT French. Cold seafood appetizer was ok, but the oysters were covered in marinated caviar so the only thing you could taste was the caviar vinegar marinade. Nice, plain, cold 1/2 lobster tail, but I can get that in the supermarket. My strip steak was just ok, and not in the slightest bit French. Nor was my wife's 1/2 roasted chicken that was dry until she got to the center. My 4 small french fries were also not French. The best part was the dessert - at least chocolate mousse comes from France. Not a French restaurant by any means, so we will not be going back.

Love the Gaby for pre-theater. None of the commotion you find at other area eateries - Gaby is quiet, calm, tucked away on a sidestreet. You can have a conversation! Prices are moderate; food is fantastic. Not a huge menu but something for everyone. This was my 4th visit. I had fish on a bed of wonderfully yummy ratatouille & split A sublime chocolate dessert with a friend. Waiter recommended a great pinot. I will be back!

I set up a lunch reservation at 11:45am. They didn't call me until right before the reservation time to indicate their kitchen doesn't open until noon. I had a candidate with me and we just sat at a table at the bar. Wow, I was so glad the candidate had sense of humor.

Overall a had a great meal. Service was friendly and the food was great. I am annoyed because I asked for my fries togo, and was instead charged for a side order of fries. Most of my fries were uneaten so it didn't make sense to enter a new order.

A lovely birthday celebration for my sister before heading to a show. Great pick for a restaurant. Our server, Edmond, was fabulous as was his assistant. Couldn’t have been more pleasant. Food was delicious. Must try the duck bolognese!! We had never been here before and were pleasantly surprised. A great pick for restaurant week.

Food not as good as expected. Fish is overcooked and dry. Tenderloin too salty , taste and quality disappointed with $10 addition charge. French onion soup is below par. Dessert is OK.
