Our family were black loyalists who participated in the Birch Trials. It was great to be back 8 generations later. Plus the food and ambiance was terrific! Thank you!

The oysters and and filet on lava were spectacular and fairly priced. The Woodford Reserve old fashioneds were tasty, but not unique and a bit pricey at $18/piece. I thought service was decent but expected a bit better for the overall prices. It was pretty loud in the space, however, the historic significance of the building was extremely cool!

The food was just average, my pork sliders came out with barely warm meat which had to be sent back. The chicken pie was watery without too much chicken. Ambiance was wonderful, service was ok but the food quality really fell down. Badly.

We had an organic bison burger and a wild boar & spanish tortilla which tasted very good. The fries were crisp and tasty also. The table's decor was appealing and the service flawless. Some guests were a bit noisy but it's not the venue's fault.

An extensive drinks menu, great food, terrific dessert, and professional staff. Alsi the history of the building cant be matched. This should be a five out of five rating. However the stools in The Hideaway (rear bar) are damaged. One cut open my Allen Edmonds boots. Be careful and mind where you sit.

Absolutely the most fabulous meal in the most beautiful restaurant! It's rich with history, the chef must be an angel from heaven because the food was out of this world delicious! It was my birthday and I planned this meal for over a year, coming from Oregon. It did not disappoint. Truly the best meal in all of NYC!

If standing in a historic building is not special enough, eating in one then touring it as a museum makes it all that much greater. To top it off, the food was outstanding and the service was excellent. Would 1000% come back and will recommend to all my history buff friends.

The food is good but the atmosphere is the real reason to go, especially if you’re a history buff. The service on the day we went was attentive and responsive. Fun time overall.

The food is beautifully presented. But that is the best I can say about the food. Skip the Chicken Pot Pie unless you like heavy cream sauces. There is a swimming pool of that in the plus-sized bowl.

They were very rude because they force us to leave at 10 Pm despite we booked the termn8:30 for birthday party and asked them for a little bithday cake. Not reccomended!

Fraunces Tavern advertises as being LGBTQ+ friendly on Google, which is what I want to see. Ambience great. Most quiet restaurant I have eaten in in NYC, which was lovely. Waitress really didn’t seem to want to waitress and disappeared for long stretches of time.

We were on vacation in NYC and enjoyed having our first dinner at the Fraunces Tavern. It was such a unique dining experience because of being surrounded by so much history. I loved seeing all of the antique pictures and furniture and had no idea there were so many rooms inside. The staff were excellent. They were friendly and prompt in serving our food and drinks. We enjoyed our dinner and would definitely go back to explore the other rooms and tour the museum. Thank you for a great experience!

This is a very cool and interesting place, being the oldest restaurant in NYC. Several rustic bars exist within this historic building, all of which can take you back in time. Warm, cozy and welcoming are the descriptive words I come up with. Great ambience … unless you’re into fancy and modern. Very good food and selection as well. Next time I’m in lower manhattan I will be back!

We ate there a year ago and had a very pleasant meal, but that was on a Sunday and it was empty. Dinner last night was a Wednesday, very crowded and very noisy! We had 3 different appetizers, none of which were more than mediocre. Two of them we had last year and they were far superior. We had asked our waiter to make sure that we were not rushed, and to give us a fair amount between courses. Before we had all finished our appetizers, they grabbed our plates and started to bring out the mains. Needless to say, we sent them back! My husband was so disgusted at that point that he couldn't eat and cancelled his main all together. Had coffee and couldn't wait to leave. To be fair, the jambalaya and fish and chips were pretty goo. Will never go back!

There are a variety of dining areas to experience. All of them cozy; from the piano bar upstairs to the more causal bars to a bit more tempered dining room type feel. Food and drinks are great.

A great experience for anyone wanting to experience old fashioned beauty and history. I took my daughter here for lunch before her interview and remembered that I was taken to lunch in 1977 for an interview with one of the wall st famous companies. I was happy to revisit it PS. Indidnt get the job😳
