Fantastic historic setting with really good meals. Service has been top notch. (Years ago there have been periods of less stellar service, now it seems consistently very good.) Fraunces Tavern deserves its spot as a downtown must.

First time here and absolutely loved it. I don’t like too much noise, it can get pretty noisy but there’s many rooms, I picked the piano room which was more reserved/quiet. It definitely has a romantic ambience, there was a live singer giving Frank Sinatra vibes. I was surprised the food was really good, waiters were very attentive, & drinks were so good & not too watered down like a lot of places.

I took my out of town relative to this historic restaurant and we both loved it. She had the chicken pot pie which she can’t get down south, and I had the signature burger. Both items were delicious. Our waiter was very attentive. Overall it was a great lunch.

The experience was pleasant. The service was very good. Ambiance was also good. Everyone at my table was happy with their meal, my wasn't bad, but the eggs of my Eggs Benedict were over cooked, actually they were hard poached eggs.

The good: Excellent food — our group loved the fish and chips and the chicken pot pie. The mediocre: The people at the hostess stand, as well as our server, were reasonably efficient but unfortunately rather cool and not at all friendly, which dampened our experience. The bad: The women’s restroom was awful, with multiple stalls out of toilet paper and trash bins overflowing. This was at 8 pm on a Saturday evening following a big annual event in the city, with many participants eating here afterward. Was the restaurant not prepared?

Superb dining experience. We had reservations in the Piano Bar. Was seated immediately at a beautiful window table. The baked chicken and fish and chips were excellent as was the large pretzel appetizer. The music/entertainment was started on time and added to the ambiance of this historic restaurant. Would definitely return.

I ordered a steak and a soup. The soup was good, the steak was mediocre. It was so loud and so many drunk & loud people even in the dining room. My water glass was empty for most of my time there. The spinach dip mashed potatoes I got with my steak were disgusting.

Our family were black loyalists who participated in the Birch Trials. It was great to be back 8 generations later. Plus the food and ambiance was terrific! Thank you!

The oysters and and filet on lava were spectacular and fairly priced. The Woodford Reserve old fashioneds were tasty, but not unique and a bit pricey at $18/piece. I thought service was decent but expected a bit better for the overall prices. It was pretty loud in the space, however, the historic significance of the building was extremely cool!

The food was just average, my pork sliders came out with barely warm meat which had to be sent back. The chicken pie was watery without too much chicken. Ambiance was wonderful, service was ok but the food quality really fell down. Badly.

We had an organic bison burger and a wild boar & spanish tortilla which tasted very good. The fries were crisp and tasty also. The table's decor was appealing and the service flawless. Some guests were a bit noisy but it's not the venue's fault.

An extensive drinks menu, great food, terrific dessert, and professional staff. Alsi the history of the building cant be matched. This should be a five out of five rating. However the stools in The Hideaway (rear bar) are damaged. One cut open my Allen Edmonds boots. Be careful and mind where you sit.

Absolutely the most fabulous meal in the most beautiful restaurant! It's rich with history, the chef must be an angel from heaven because the food was out of this world delicious! It was my birthday and I planned this meal for over a year, coming from Oregon. It did not disappoint. Truly the best meal in all of NYC!

Amazing historical location in the financial district. Food was tasty and beverage delicious. Make sure to take time to tour the museum as well.

If standing in a historic building is not special enough, eating in one then touring it as a museum makes it all that much greater. To top it off, the food was outstanding and the service was excellent. Would 1000% come back and will recommend to all my history buff friends.

The food is good but the atmosphere is the real reason to go, especially if you’re a history buff. The service on the day we went was attentive and responsive. Fun time overall.

The food is beautifully presented. But that is the best I can say about the food. Skip the Chicken Pot Pie unless you like heavy cream sauces. There is a swimming pool of that in the plus-sized bowl.

They were very rude because they force us to leave at 10 Pm despite we booked the termn8:30 for birthday party and asked them for a little bithday cake. Not reccomended!
