« Sans conteste la meilleure cuisine que vous trouverez dans le quartier Fisherman's Wharf de San Francisco » a déclaré le Sunset Magazine. Le Franciscan Crab, institution du Fisherman's Wharf depuis 1957, a été entièrement rénové. Murs carrelés en blanc, superbe bar en marbre et fenêtres de 6 mètres donnant sur la baie et Alcatraz. Lunch here was pleasant. It was quiet and I had a stunning view of the Alcatraz island. Food was delicious, however, the Coca Cola was a bit watered down. Overall, this was great.

My family came here to celebrate Mother's Day. It was our first experience eating at the Franciscan. I'm always aware of how the restaurant can adjust to a party that includes young children. They did well and had some drawing activities for my kids. Overall, the food was good and the experience was also nice.

This is one of our favorite family restaurants in San Francisco, we were there yesterday for our sons 13th birthday. His favorite dishes, the Brandino and poached olive oil, garlic and herbs. My husband and I shared the crab and muscles and the food was excellent. The waiter was also incredibly attentive. 10/10. Strongly recommend.

The food wasn’t cleaned properly. The crab tasted reheated and dry. The owner was a little rude once I sent the dirty shrimp back. We were then told that we weren’t allowed to order any additional food as the kitchen was going to be closing soon. But we watched them seat new guest and serve them as well. We had multiple servers and aour original server stopped coming over altogether. Don’t think that the meal was worth the $200 bill. I have no problem paying for good food, but this was not worth it.

Treated my group 7 friends very well. Food was well received, the flaws were more preferential issues not the cooks.

We had the crab tacos, and shrimp and chips. Both were great. The service was very good. It was a little pricey.

Loved the ambiance and the view of the bay and Alcatraz on a sunny day. Delicious crab mussels shrimp platter delivered to the table. Wine sauce over the mussels, garlic sauce over the crab and shrimp. Enjoyed the grilled veggies too.

I am a regular diner at this restaurant but for some reason the crab I ordered didn’t have the same tasty fresh flavor like it always had. I was very disappointed when the chef came out and said there nothing he can do about it. The waiter canceled the order for me. I didn’t place another order of crab since the chef said they are the same quality so I left the most famous crab restaurant without eating a crab! :-)

I took a chance and made reservations for a party of 10. We all were very happy with our delicious dinner . Clam chowder was on point !! Best we have ever had !

This restaurant has the best seafood in town. Must order crabs and mussels!! The price and quality of the foods are amazing. Servers were very polite and professional. Great place to bring friends and family anytime! :-)

A lovely older restaurant with delicious food. It might be touristy but the food was delicious and the view amazing. Highly recommend if you’re at Fisherman’s Wharf.
