Le Francesca's on Chestnut est membre du Francesca's Restaurant Group. Situé dans les Seneca Boutique Apartments, le restaurant de 180 places sert sa célèbre cuisine italienne rustique. Le chef, Martin Ontiveros, mène la cuisine et propose les mets classiques épicés du Francesca's, une cuisine du terroir de Rome et des régions avoisinantes de la Toscane. La carte des vins et cocktails spéciaux est toute aussi impressionnante dans cet endroit unique disposant d'un bar à vin caché. Le DiSotto Enoteca se trouve dans le sous-sol de l'établissement. Le Francesca’s Restaurant Group a été fondé en 1992 par le restaurateur Scott Harris. Tout a commencé dans un petit restaurant italien situé sur North Clark Street à Chicago, puis le savoir-faire s’est développé à travers trois concepts de restaurants situés dans 33 emplacements à travers quatre états. Basé à Chicago, le groupe Francesca’s Restaurant possède et exploite actuellement 23 restaurants Francesca's, cinq restaurants Davanti Enoteca et cinq restaurants Glazed and Infused.

Not my best eating experience.Had not finished our starters when main meal arrived. Main meals we had were quite expensive for amount of pasta given. When my profiterole dessert arrived it was not the correct pastry and had ice cream in the middle which was not what the menu stated, which was also a type I didn't like as not asked about flavour.

It's a great neighborhood place in Streeterville that's worth a trip to if you don't live there. Francesca's serves Tuscan cuisine with special touches. Our waiter was especially wonderful—very attentive and efficient. I started coughing after drinking very cold water. He advised me to stop because the water was making it worse. He then brought hot water and lemon. Later, he brought honey. They worked like a charm. The meal was delicious, from appetizer to pasta, salad, and dessert.

Food was excellent, server was good, just overwhelmed, but the noise level was a negative. It was difficult to hear people at your own table. We were there prime time on the Saturday night, so maybe that is less of an issue at other times. Food was delicious though!

We were greeted with cheery hellos and taken to our favorite table, where we studied the menu and eventually chose one old favorite and one new idea the Specials Menu. This, the fettucine with prosciutto, is now on our favorites list, and the old favorite, the paccheri with sausage, proved why it has been on our favorites list. Service was top-notch, beverage refills were right on time (the waiter was also helpful as we tried to make up our minds which of three new dishes to try) , and we had an excellent time and an excellent dinner. All stars all around!

It was our first time eating at this Francesca's location and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The staff was very pleasant and helpful at explaining what some of the dishes were, as we wanted to try some new ones....and they did not disappoint!!
