Francesca's Intimo a ouvert au début de 2001 et est le 11e restaurant du Francesca's Restaurant Group. Il offre une ambiance contemporaine décontractée et sophistiquée de « trattoria » et sert une bonne cuisine rustique avec un service amical et des prix raisonnables au centre-ville de Lake Forest. Le menu propose une cuisine typique de Rome et des régions avoisinantes : la Toscane, l’Ombrie et le Latium. Le Francesca’s Restaurant Group a été fondé en 1992 par le restaurateur Scott Harris. Tout a commencé dans un petit restaurant italien situé sur North Clark Street à Chicago, puis le savoir-faire s’est développé sur trois concepts de restaurant situés dans 33 emplacements à travers quatre états. Basé à Chicago, le Francesca's Restaurant Group possède et exploite actuellement 23 restaurants, cinq « Davanti Enoteca » et cinq « Glazed and Infused ».

Service was different and seemed to interrupt the evening too frequently at the wrong times. Overall it was a nice place and service was at least on top of things. 3 stars

We’re local. We love this place. They do an excellent job with fresh fish, and with pasta. Service is friendly and efficient.

Overall experience was bad. We were seated on their outside patio as we had asked. But we never had a server, no server ever came to out table. I finally had enough when 2 other tables were seated right next to us at least 10-15 minutes after we were seated, and a server immediately when to their tables to wait on them. I got up, tracked down the hostess and told her what was going on. She got hold of a manager, but when the manager came out to take care of the situation, she went directly to one of those 2 tables that were seated next to us, and talked to the couple there. They didn’t know what she was talking about so the manager left them and start to walk away, with no interest at all if finding out if we were the no-server table. My girlfriend then yelled at the manager to stop and told her we’re the ones you need to take care of. Manager then apologized and 6-8 minutes later, finally our server, Margo, came to our table, apologized and said there was miscommunication regarding the “Stations”. But, that was the last time, Margo showed any interest in us. She continued to give a “no-interest” and minimal attitude and service towards us. It will be a very long time before we ever go back.

Always outstanding, last night was no exception. Food and waitstaff were top notch. Loved the Brazino!!!

The filet mignon may have been the most tender my wife and I have ever had! Server Vincent was great too as were the cocktails.
