Donny and his support staff were amazing! The biscuits were incredible, a MUST have :-) I had the redfish and cheesecake for dessert. Both were delicious. The setting was delightful, still easy to talk. A knowledgeable, experienced staff makes a world of difference when dining out. Great job with this Fixe! Donny was on point, never missed a beat and the servers were all wonderful. It was towards the end of evening, a guy came buy collecting all the candles off the tables and took ours off our table. We were still waiting for dessert. There was a woman setting up the tables around us. She noticed this and brought another candle to our table. Smart, observant and on point! My husband and I were there on Mother’s Day for dinner and I was sad my kids couldn’t make it from out of town with school and work. The dinner at Fixe helped cheer me up.

It was a nice restaurant to celebrate Mother’s Day even if nothing special was offered or made for this. The wine list is very expensive, even the house wine. 2 out of 3 courses were excellent, the lobster and the red fish were so good but the pork was disappointing (I would recommend the chef to visit Anthony’s market grill to compare).

We enjoyed all of the food we ordered! It was all delicious-the fried chicken, little gem salad and chicken sandwich. A wonderful Mother’s Day brunch!!!

I was quite a bit disappointed with the absence of flavors in both my husband and my entrees. He got the pork chops and not only was the meat bland but the collards were as well. My first pick was the red fish but I opted for what I thought was a sure thing--- fried chicken and the thighs had NO flavor at all. The hushpuppies were the star of the show for me.

Our food was spectacular. We started with the deviled eggs and biscuits. The biscuits were the best biscuits I have ever had. I had the Texas Red fish for my entree and it was a very tasty white flaky fish. We had a side of baked beans that were delicious as well. Everyone in my group of six was very happy with their meals and their drinks. Will definitely come back again when we are in Austin.

Fixe Southern House was absolutely amazing. The initial greeting by the staff was warm and inviting. Our server "Donnie" was knowledgeable about the menu and made great recommendations. The ambience was perfect. Our party of 10 were extremely pleased with the food (especially the biscuits and the porkchop), pricing and cleanliness of the restaurant. I absolutely recommend Fixe Southern House if you are in the Austin area.

Consistently delicious food and drinks, and great service. They’ve changed the menu slightly since the last time I was there and the new version of the halibut was excellent. The deviled eggs are always amazing. Noise level was moderate on a very busy Saturday night and service was fast and friendly.

Our server, Katie was impressive. I could see she had a bunch of tables that all sat at once but the level of service was excellent. She made my out of town (from Asia) guests feel welcome and special.

Great venue, food service, however, we had to move our table from a small room, because it was so ridiculously loud we couldn’t even have a conversation. Loudest restaurant we have ever been in. The staff and manager were great in getting to s much quieter part of the restaurant.

Kevin our server was wonderful, very attentive and fun. The red fish and vegetarian dishes were both tasty! The biscuits are a must, they were delicious. We had the chocolate truffle cake for dessert, just know it’s very heavy and dense for a cake. It’s good just not a light and airy bite.

I went there with my husband and daughter. I had the pork chop which was cooked nice and tender. The collard greens were okay. My husband had the cheeseburger. It was a good size but could have used some salt. My daughter had the fried fish and she said the same…it had no flavor. I’d they work on that part, it will be packed!
