Newly renovated, The Fish Hopper, once an original sardine cannery building, offers spectacular views of the beautiful Monterey Bay from every table including our heated outdoor patio. The Fish Hopper specializes in fresh sustainable seafood, certified Angus beef, pastas and live shellfish. Our seafood is either locally caught or shipped in fresh daily; our produce is locally grown in the Salinas Valley. Some favorites are fresh Monterey Bay abalone, Macadamia-crusted halibut, our famous “Tomahawk Chop” long bone-in Rib Eye, or fresh Dungeness Crab. Great for lunch on the outside patio. Great views and excellent food. Service is excellent. We went to celebrate our anniversary and when we told Ramon our server, he brought us a complimentary desert. Very nice.

Fantastic meal and service. Manny was very attentive and gave us plenty of time to enjoy each course. Magical view of the native wildlife. Sitting out on the extension into the water is a must! It felt like our own private dining area. And, the oysters are incredible!

My sand dabs were well prepared and tasty. Perfectly cooked veggies and yummy garlic mashed potatoes. And what a great view of the bay with otters, seals, and cormorants.

Fish was under seasoned and lacked enough flavor. Vegetables were undercooked for my taste. Hostess and server were terrific. The view from our table was extraordinary. Dessert was ok.

Shaniya was our server and she was so nice and attentive! My husband had the surf & turf, I had the Parmesan chicken and clam chowder soup. Everything was delicious! We wanted a place that had more of casual setting since we were just getting into town from a long road trip and this was the perfect spot! The food did not disappoint, the views were beautiful and the staff did a great job!

I enjoyed my Mother's Day early dinner at the Fish Hopper. I ordered the crusted Halibut and it was delicious. I ordered a berry spritzer that was very refreshing and light. The service was outstanding. Our waiter was attentive, caring and knew the menu very well. We didn't have to wait for anything and he was always around anticipating our needs. The views were pretty nice as well. I will be coming back and trying different items from the menu.

Server, forgot to bring us bread, we order clam chowder, my husband ask for salty cookies for the soup, server told us they didn’t have no salty cookies, only bread, brought soup and other appetizers, bread never got to the table, my husband saw the table next to us after taking drinks order they brought bread, when out server came, my husband ask him, how come we didn’t get bread, he simply answered I forgot We pay almost 500, how can a server forget bread
