Just a short walk from Haymarket train station, First Coast is a local, independent neighbourhood restaurant. Over the past 11 years we’ve built a strong reputation for serving top quality modern Scottish food at reasonable prices.
Named after a small village in Wester Ross, where the owner has fond memories of eating brilliant Scottish produce during his childhood holidays, First Coast’s menu has something for everyone. Fresh fish is delivered daily, we offer a good range of tasty vegetarian options, J Gilmour butchers supply us with quality Aberdeen Angus steak, and we also make our own haggis

Very friendly staff, great food (smoked salmon, haggis, sea bass, steak, sticky toffee pudding, ice cream). Good selection of wines and beers.

We had a lovely meal. The duck breast was perfectly cooked and tender and the scallops were wonderful as well. The service was attentive and prompt.

I have been to First Coast several times and was never disappoimted. It was a luxury to be there on a Monday when it was relatively quiet. The haggis starter was especially good, but other food also fine.

Very nice food, service was great but feels like they were understaffed. Food was very well presented and very tasty. It is a nice local restaurant.

Another excellent lunch at First Coast. We had the 2 course lunch for under £20. The staff were friendly and efficient, and the food was delicious and beautifully served. This is our 'go-to' place for quality and value and it doesn't disappoint.

First class service friendly staff who were attentive with out being overbearing. The menu choices were excellent covered most possibilities.
