Firefly Restaurant est ouvert en janvier 2002 et est vite devenu l'un des restaurants plus uniques et plus respectés à Studio City. Firefly allie parfaitement le raffiné et le rustique, le rétro et le contemporain. La « Bibliothèque », le bar, la salle à manger extérieure et plusieurs terrasses offrent un espace qui est chaleureux et accueillant, confortable et animé. Firefly est à la fois un restaurant de quartier et un établissement gastronomique.

I came here for a first date and was sat on the patio. At first experience they wouldn’t seat me without my date present. We were sat under a heater which was never turned on as requested. Service was consistent but slower. The food itself did not match the expectations of the rest of the environment. The garlic mashed was especially disappointing for such a simple dish. Also ordered the Miso Cod and the Mushroom pasta.

This is one of our new favorite spots. While the food is fine and the selection somewhat limited it is certainly creative and good. The space gives off a great vibe and energy. It is not so hip where you might feel out of place if your not a young and famous influencer but just gives off a really good energy. If you have company in from out of town and you want to give your guests an experience of quintessential Los Angeles take them to Firefly. Now the best part, our server Alex who we have been lucky enough to have help us our last two visits is a treasure. She is attentive, funny and even if something goes wrong is proactive in making it right. Ownership is lucky to have someone like her. We will be back!

The ambience is the real selling point of this restaurant. However, I wasn’t sold on the food. The wine was good. However , my salmon was salty. The brussel sprouts were overly cooked and the side potatoes were somewhat bland. I spent over $300.00 for 2 people and I’m disappointed frankly.

The service was not great although it seemed to be a kitchen problem and not a waiter problem and when the manager stepped in she was very responsive and addressed it by comping our dinners. But before that, we got the wrong salad, the steak was very overcooked and the cod was very undercooked.

Excellent ambience, great service. The food was outstanding. The lamb shank and truffle pappardelle were an amazing pairing.

Upscale in terms of look, price, and service. Unfortunately the food was bland, which is not a common complaint that I have. There are definitely places comparable in look and price that would give you a better meal. Also, in early June, the outdoor heaters were still on at night. The section we were seated in is technically enclosed, and when it apparently got hot enough, rather than turning off the heaters they just turned on the air conditioners in addition. Lastly, I just did not expect this place to be so loud. We were there on a Friday night which is obviously popular. It was as we were entering the dining area that the sound wall hit; I don’t know if you’ve ever been to a new place and when you get there you wonder if you’ve made a mistake, but that’s what it felt like when we were being seated. Not bar level yelling or anything, but a popular choice for loud groups.

The food is simply prepared and excellent. Appetizers (tuna tartare, arugula salad, meatballs) were the star. Steak and chicken entrees and bread pudding dessert were traditional but delicious. Salmon entree was slightly overcooked.
