Food great. Was not greeted as we walked in. Three servers walked by and not a greeting. Should have at least been greeted with: hello, I’ll Be right with you.

Wonderful pre-Mother's day lunch for seven. Farmstead made space for us and our 83 year old mom! And even the teens and 20-somethings were impressed!

Our waitress was awful. I’ve never had a server that clearly didn’t want to be at work but this was evident the moment she took out orders. Then it took 40 mins for the food to come out after ordering. I even had to get up from the table to go find her to ask if they forgot about our order because she never once came over to let us know it was going to take longer than normal etc as servers always do. This was for Mothers Day brunch with my mom and MIL. When I asked her when the food would be out it’s been 40 mins or so all she did was say the kitchen was backed up. No simple apology or smile or anything. Then the food did come out and it was pathetic. I could have easily made the spring salad… simple lettuce with not much else and added grilled chicken for an extra $9 or so. It was fine because it’s how I make salad at home… it just doesn’t cost me $40 to make a very simple salad with grilled chicken and ONE glass of Chardonnay. That’s all I had and it was $42 with a 20 percent tip per person with zero service and we were then late to my sons soccer game that my MIL drove an hour and half to come see after our Mother’s Day brunch. I would never go back here. Overall it was a three star experience not because of the restaurant but because of the location in Newton Center and the amazing weather that day.

The apps, drinks, entree and atmosphere were very good. We had the Crispy Brussels Sprouts Tacos, New pasta dish, Steelhead Trout, Queen's Paradise, Fox's Wedding, Gin & Jam, and Garden Party. We will eat here again - need to try the Mushroom Board.

The mysterious “mushroom board” was full of amazing surprises. Glad we decided to just order it and see what it was (didn’t ask). The steak frites (esp. the frites) was delicious. Service was a bit rushed.

We were a bit disappointed compared to our previous Farmstead Table meals. The service felt somewhat rushed; we were barely finished with our salads when the main courses arrived. The trout was excellent although the pasta seemed a bit heavy.

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and the service was excellent. We had the totally non-vegetarian main courses: steak and and pork chop, which were each done as requested. Will be back soon.

A nice brunch. Brussels sprouts taco were very good. Shashuka was average. Service was very accommodating but forgot one item.

Main courses poor. Basically salad and a piece of fish. Very disappointing. Mushroom board interesting. Trout was salmon trout not trout.

Well our waiter was very nice he was very slow to serve didn’t tell us the specials and we felt like our meal wasn’t spaced out enough

Our first visit in many years. What a delightful dining experience. We barely made it to entrees because the small plates/apps were so good. Thumbs up to this lovely place.

I always enjoy coming here with its small, cozy ambiance and good service. I don’t think I’ve had a bad meal here and this time did not disappoint. Popover appetizer was especially good. Main courses were all excellent. Don’t want to say I highly recommend because that will mean it’s even harder to get a seat 😀

The popovers and the shakshuka are wonderful brunch items. The French press coffee was uneven (large weak pot and muddy small pot).
