What a wonderful restaurant. Exactly what I like. Welcoming staff and environment, great food and drink. We will be back for sure and will order the Pork Belly this time!

Impromptu birthday lunch for 3. Steelhead Trout and Clams with fries were excellent. I had the daily pasta of orzo, peas and ham, which lacked flavour.

My wife and I chose Fable to celebrate our joint birthdays with our kids. We shared chickpea fritters, which were great. Our mains included steak, duck, stealhead trout and pork belly. All were excellent but the pork belly was the best. Our sides included asparagus, broccolini and roasted potatoes. Again, all were great but the potatoes were excellent. All our cocktails were excellent as well.

We enjoyed lunch at Fable. It was a new menu and new opening hours, so it was pretty quiet. We were hoping for the brunch menu, but that is now only available on weekends. I loved my clams & fries - these were the freshest clams I've had since I was in Iceland. Great flavour and texture. The burgers and chicken sandwich were also enjoyed. I think we were all looking for a little more with the fries... they're the most basic part of a dish but can really make the dish when seasoned perfectly and/or uniquely. If we had the chance to return sans enfants, I'd love to try the dinner menu which looks fantastic. I also noticed they had a number of special dining events in partnership with other local establishments, and they looked great - keep an eye out for opportunities outside of the norm, because they seem to offer them regularly.

They graciously added a party to my original reservation without hesitation. The food was fresh and delicious and the prices are very reasonable! Will return!

Service was unfriendly but very prompt. Went for brunch and it was disappointingly just ok - hollandaise was cold without much taste and eggs very very underdone. Latte was delicious!

Fable kitchen is one of our favorite restaurants. Sadly Friday was not our best experience. Service was slow my husbands steak was not very hot ; the duckmeat ball was very short on the Parmesan foam when compared with other visits. Not the same at all. What happened!!??

The middle-aged waitress provided excellent service, contributing to a pleasant overall experience. The speed of food delivery was also commendable. Food is delicious!

music is at a perfect volume (so I can actually have a good conversation with my friends), food is food, service is great, kitchen staff are polite.

Greeted very unfriendly at 9:53 am - “ we are not open until 10 am “ then , we told her we made a reservation , we were seated but we already felt the unpleasant vibe ( how dare you walk in before 10 am and without asking she assumed we just walked in !!!) ) Coffee served to all 3 of us , but no spoon and when we asked she gave us 1 … to share ? Seriously ? Do we even need to ask ? Disappointing and regretted to take guest from NYC to Fable ! Embarrassing indeed !

Fable finds the sweet spot with an atmosphere that is both lively, with its view of the kitchen action, and cozy with low ceiling that makes it easy to have a conversation. We had chickpea fritters, gorgeous beet salad, seared steelhead, small steak and patates bravas - all delicious. Nice attention to the sauces. They handled my celiac condition without missing a beat. Service was friendly and attentive, but not intrusive. And we didn’t gasp when we got the bill. Great experience start to finish.

Amazing food, well-priced. Every dish was creative and delicious - don't miss the Gnocci! Drinks list had a nice variety, including excellent mocktails. Definitely recommend a visit!

Absolutely ideal experience! The miso sablefish was cooked to perfection, and the gnocchi with pork belly was melt-in-your mouth delicious. Our waiter was pleasant and efficient, yet cognizant and thoughtful in regards to how to pace the courses. The wine list is impressive, and the manager, Nicolle was both warm and knowledgeable, and thoroughly enhanced our experience. We will definitely be back! Thank-you Nicolle, and team, and compliments to the chef!

Resturant was extremely busy (which is good) but the seating area was small and you’re very close together resulting in tight uncomfortable quarters and a loud ambiance. Servers were busy, they didn’t visit your table too often, only to bring and clear your plates - water would run dry quickly. Food was good, the scallops were the star of the show (or the dine out menu), fantastically cooked and flavoured. A nice experience if you’re out and about in the Kits neighbourhood - but I wouldn’t recommend for a special out of your way drive.

I hadn't been to Fable for quite some time. A chance to get reacquainted, they were part of Dine Out. The room was hopping, great vibe. Our waiter Adam was attentive and kept things nicely paced. The wine pairings complemented the courses well and all the courses were delicious and generous. A winner!

Of course dishes and drink were so good. I enjoyed wine pairing which was $18. It was good deal. Above all else,our server Adam was amazing. So kind,energetic and helpful.
