L'Emmer & Rye vous propose une cuisine rustique et inspirée des saisons dans le quartier historique de Rainey Street, à Austin, dans l’État du Texas. Premier restaurant américain contemporain de la ville à servir des dim sum dans le cadre de ses repas, il vous permet de les commander directement de chariots ambulants, à partir d'un menu tournant hebdomadaire utilisant des ingrédients locaux de la ferme à la table. Grâce à un moulin, l'Emmer & Rye fait moudre le grain frais du pays tous les jours pour fabriquer son pain, ses pâtes et son dessert. En plus du service de souper, le restaurant est ouvert pour le déjeuner-dîner le week-end et propose des spécialités en fin de soirée le jeudi, vendredi et samedi.

Honestly this was the best meal we have had in recent years. Everything about our meal was amazing. The restaurant itself is beautiful and inviting. Our party of 5 was celebrating and enjoyed sharing many dishes. Particularly outstanding was the bread service, the roasted cabbage, oysters, the cacio y Pepe and the smoked wagyu pappardelle along with the carnitas. Our least favorite bite was the Cobia entree. Something had to come in last place! Loved our server. Never felt rushed. PS the podcast in the bathroom was a great touch! Thank you for a wonderful meal!

Excellent food quality, taste, preparation, and presentation. Service was also excellent, especially the personal visit from both Executives Sous Chefs, Annie and Jose. They both took the time to present us with two of the dishes, individually, explain the dish and chat for bit... While a bit pricey, it was a wonderful experience. If it's a bit less costly to us, we'd visit more often than once in a while.

Immediately greeted and seated (with a reservation), quickly greeted by our server who facilitated our meal throughout our time at the restaurant. Every course was good - most were outstanding. Service was impeccable and the atmosphere was lively. Drinks were delicious. Highly recommend for date night or a night out with friends.

We had a wonderful dinner here. We sat at the chef counter and really enjoyed watching the chefs prepare the food. A very organized kitchen! All of the food was good, but the top three were the wagu tartar, boasted cabbage, and sourdough bread with three different types of light cheese spreads. The service was very good too! This restaurant is downtown, so give yourself extra time to get there and park. We would highly recommend this restaurant!

The dishes were inventive and good. The bread was really good, but I’d have preferred not arguing about having it first rather than as a run-of-the mill course to be brought out at the convenience of the kitchen. The mushroom dish had very few mushrooms. There is a lot of help parading about needlessly, yet they did not change our plates between dishes, which annoyed my wife. The chocolate koji ice cream with sweet potato chips was spectacular.

All around amazing. Food quality and presentation was exceptional. Our server was a vibe and was also the bartender. Recommended the most delicious drinks and food we left extremely happy and are still talking about the experience:)

Every single person from the hostess to the manager treated us like we were VIPs. Our server Connally was amazing — so knowledgeable, personable, helpful and FUN! He gave us lots of great guidance on the dishes, ordering and coursing, and wines and liquors. An outstanding, experience from service to inventive food to fun vibe to great wine and liquor list. I can’t wait to return!

We went here interested by the fermentation techniques and experimentation. We had 5 dishes- 2 were superb really top notch- the oysters and the beef pappardelle - the other three- sour dough bread, mushrooms and chicken breasts- were pretty good two. The waiting service friendliness of our waiter- connelly - and all very knowledgeable too.

The food didn’t taste fresh, and everything was too salty. The flavors were all so similar as well. No pops of herb or citrus or anything to lift the dishes. Pretty disappointing.

Nothing short of ahhh-mazing! Food was stellar. Service team was wonderful. We sat at the chefs counter - the best seat in the house! One of the chefs told us that their claim to fame is using all local Texas ingredients. Think garlic - not always available so they do creative thing to preserve and dehydrate! Brilliant. Foods are perfect, server is friendly and nice. Unfortunately, outdoor area have fly. Fly comes when steak is served.

We've gone twice in a couple weeks because this is definitely up at the top of my favorite meals I have had in Austin. Service, ambiance, and food are all top tier. It's not a cheap place, but well worth the splurge. Surprisingly, the one note I'd have is to opt with the chicken/fish dishes for entrees - both are phenomenal. If you want any red meat, get the Parpadelle pasta - fave. Everything I've tried is excellent, and don't skip the cabbage appetizer. I skipped my first time and regretted it once I finally tried it.

We came with too high expectations maybe, so were disappointed. Dishes nothing to write home about. Fairly extensive wine list. All and all hip but not as good as we expected.

Our fifth visit and its always amazing. The flavors and offerings are always varied and super enjoyable. Creative and fresh! Farm to table is evident. The staff is so zen and its enjoyable to see a team so tuned in.

Harry, our server was so kind and fun. The food was outstanding. The cacio e Pepe was out of this world and so was their bread and butters. Steak was also wonderful. Loved coming here. Make sure you make a reservation.

Seriously amazing food. Some of the best dishes we’ve ever had. Everything was delicious, nothing fell flat. Really great server Aaron who gave us some more recommendations for around Austin. Highly recommend to anyone looking for very nice dinner. Not cheap but worth it for special occasion. A bit loud to chat well at a big table.

Our server was weird, and wine guy a little over zealous. We choose our three selections, but she thought not enough protein, even though we had the beet salad, beef tartar and papadela beef ragu pasta. Plenty of food for two to share. The red wine is chilled, not good, we are from California, red wine is served room temp. Beet salad very simple, the other two dishes more unique and favorable. Bread with butter selections supper yum.

Celebrated my husband's birthday here at the chef's counter. We were enthralled by how well the kitchen ran, you can tell everyone has a high level of respect with their ingredients. Everyone from our server, to the sommelier, host, managers, and cooking staff made it such an awesome experience. BTW I still cannot get the sipping broth served with the crudo out of my mind. You will not be disappointed eating here!
