For over 20 years, The Emerald Rose has set the standard for a rustic Irish Restaurant and Pub in the relaxed suburbs of Boston. Choose from our white tablecloth dining room, a seat by the fireplace in our cozy Irish Pub, or in one of our outdoor covered patios.
Our Executive Chef has created a menu with a great balance of traditional Irish favorites like Bangers and Mash, exciting new dishes like Pan-Seared Sea Scallops over Parmesan Risotto with an enticing citrus glaze, and comfort classics like our slow-roasted Top Round Pot Roast complete with Mashed Potato and Seasonal Vegetable.

Food was really good but the service was unsatisfactory. The server would be super nice to the tables around us but every once in a while when she came to our table she looked miserable and always took forever to get us our food. I wasn’t the only one who noticed her weird attitude towards us, my husband and my friend felt the same way.

It was very congested and loud in the dining room. Could not hear conversations at the table.

Unfortunately, St. Patrick's Weekend is by far our busiest of the year and it can be a bit difficult to make sure all guests use their indoor voices when they get their Irish up! I would always recommend a seat on our enclosed patio for the quietest possible dining option in the future. Good food, great service but extremely noisy. Very difficult to converse without yelling. However, that's to be expected for St Patrick's Day!

We have been coming here since they opened, and the corned beef has been amazing. Tonight we had trouble eating it. It was stringy, chewy, and overly salty. I had the Reuben and had trouble biting into the sandwich. I switched to a steak knife and fork and still had a bit of trouble with cutting it. My wife had the corned beef and cabbage and said it was too salty to eat.

Service was great, drinks were great and on the strong side. Our lobster bisque was delicious. It all went down hill when the beef Wellington hit the table. It was not a tenderloin cut it was either brisket or pot roast. It was over cooked and nothing I would compare to a normal Wellington. I was told it was their version on beef Wellington. Well at $46 it was far from worth it. Very disappointing and because of that it dragged my review down

The food is outstanding however, our server was not. We still had a nice meal but the waitress had little to no experience. Ex. filling up just my water instead of everyone's. No greeting just immediately asked what we wanted to drink. Seemed very young and inexperienced, needs some training for those prices.
