Made reservations for the Saturday of St. Patrick's Day celebrations. I wasn't sure if they were going to stick because it's a busy holiday but thought I would try. My husband and I tried calling the restaurant several times prior to the day to ask about the reservation. No one ever answered the phones. We don't live in Chicago so obviously could not simply stop by. The day before, we received a reservation confirmation text from OpenTable confirming our reservation, and asking us to confirm that we were attending. We confirmed, and received a text back saying our reservation was confirmed. Come the time of the reservation, we walked up to the front to ask the security guard about it, and he interrupts to blurt out "No reservations today, the line is over there!" Again, we understand that this is a busy holiday and reservations aren't typical, but this was the only place that was allowing reservations to be made online, so we thought they might be accepting a few. It was pretty annoying to not be able to reach the business AT ALL when trying to call multiple times. And then our reservation was actually confirmed multiple times. Also, according to OpenTable, Emerald Loop checked us in for our reservation??? Just annoying overall. We chose not to stay and went and had the time of our life at Tao who had two floors of St. Patrick's Day festivities, awesome food, awesome DJs and Bagpipers, and welcomed us in with smiles instead of a condescending attitude.

A less than adequate meal at a usually good restaurant. The Corned Beef & Cabbage featured-- in order of weight/volume-- roasted potatoes, mashed potatoes, roasted turnips, corned beef, cabbage. The small, stringy pile of corned beef was fatty; the cabbage was undercooked and un-spiced. As a regular customer, not happy.

Reserved at table at emerald bar it was all ready. Our waitress was great!

Had the Fish and Chips, some espresso martinis before a show at the Chicago Theater. Great place and will go again.

We went here for Sunday brunch and it was not busy at all, which was nice, but our service was fairly lackluster and we pretty much got in and out, no refills on water, not much really happening for service. Food was pretty good and the atmosphere was neat, so I bet this would be a good dinner place, but Sunday morning vibes were just average.
