ALWAYS a great time at Eddie V’s! Our server was most helpful and even encouraged me to concoct my own dish (grilled salmon ala Oscar…chef’s kiss). The seafood tower is so fresh and additional oysters delish

We had a wonderful birthday dinner for my father and husband last night at Eddie V's, EVEN though my elderly father choked during dinner. Our server, Selina, was so respectful and blocked my father from the view of the other patrons and the bartender called the paramedics right away. We were so impressed with the staff during this unfortunate incident. The manager came over and offered assistance as well. The food was wonderful. They even boxed up a free birthday treat for my father with his leftovers since he left early. Class Act Eddie V's! Thank You all!

We arrived and only had a short wait but because it was Mother’s Day we were treated to a glass of champagne. Nice touch Service at first was quick on water and bread but wine arrived after appetizers Entree was slow in coming due to rush of guests but accommodation was made in complimentary appetizer and dessert Food was good

Made a reservation for Mothers Day and arrived 30min early (traffic wasn’t bad as expected) checked in and hostess said probably couldn’t get us seated until closer to our reservation. That’s fine. Reservation time nothing. 10 min after - we’re cleaning your table. 15min after ok you two will be next. She was unfriendly and unhelpful. Even the lady outside serving free champagne offered to help. Finally seated on the patio, waitress was friendly and attentive. Ordered the brunch special because at this point we figured it’d be faster and it was because the scones were cold, bisque lukewarm, avo crab toast thing was good and actually cooked fresh. Clearly people come for the ambiance maybe I’ll try again on a non-holiday but as a first experience it was pretty blah.

I took my mom here to celebrate Mother’s Day and it did not disappoint. From the moment we checked in, 30 minutes early, we were greeted with champagne which made the wait so enjoyable. ALL of the staff had smiles and made use feeling so welcomed. Our server Maria was efficient, kind, happy and graceful. She was knowledgeable and prompt, just outstanding. Our table had a wonderful view, and it seemed like every table in their dining room had a beautiful ocean view. The filet mignon and crab was delicious, the steak was cooked perfectly as requested and the crab was lump meat with no breading fillers, just sweet blue crab meat. And the sea bass was sweet and buttery served on a bed of spinach. 🤌 They knocked it out of the park! Definitely recommend 👍 👍

Chris our server was wonderful!! As far as service went - first round of drinks took 45 mins, meals came out at different times, one steak came out raw and cold, sides came out separately, 2nd set of drinks took another 45 mins. So for $500 we all ate at separate times and was not worth the hype or price! And unfortunately this was for a college graduation dinner and it was sub par. But again, Chris was lovely!

Eddie V’s does not disappoint. From the drinks to the Oysters to the entrees perfect. The perfect birthday for my wife and I. Thank you. Dee our waiter was amazing, friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Highly recommend.

Sat on the patio and had a quality heat over head to keep us warm, got my usual 22oz bone in ribeye and she got the lobster. Presentation was an infinity out of 10 and so my service. Great views and experience!

We have enjoyed Eddie V's for our anniversary for many years. The service was top notch with our server Robbie. The manager was wonderful in making sure our anniversary was special.

I was at Eddie V’s La Jolla, CA location on Tuesday night, this was a special celebration for my daughter who is going to college in San Diego and my wife and I drove up to La Jolla and made Eddie V's our choice for such special occasion. To our surprise this was a very disappointing experience which made for an extremely unfortunate night. It started with our reservations which were made in advance and at arrival we were made to stand by the door and wait for approximately 30mins until a table was ready for us. Then, we were left unattended for an extensive period of time only to finally been able to place our orders after over one hour pass our reservation time and when the food arrived it clearly showed that it was made with absolute no care and in a hurry. My fish was extremely salted, my wife's scallops overcooked and the worse was that my daughter, who that evening was all about, had her steak come completely burned and after trying to make excuses for it the waiter finally sent it back to the kitchen only for my daughter to have to wait for another 20 minutes for her meal to arrive by which time all of our dishes were cold as we waited yet again. Finally, after approximately 2 hours we were eating an extremely disappointing meal. This was our second nightmare experience at Eddie V's, the first being at the Austin, TX location, and despite that first bad experience where our steaks were also "burned" we decided to not only give them another opportunity but at one of our most special celebrations, and again what a disappointment, to say the least. While I am not sure any attention will be given to this message, I sincerely hope someone will read it and take some action as this is certainly not the proper way to treat a customer.

Emily our server, was very attentive, kind and suggested items to enhance our meal. The grilled shrimp with the garlic butter was unforgettable. The garlic butter had a flavor I’ve never had before. Absolutely delish! The butter cake was the best dessert I’ve ever had. Another mouth watering anniversary at Eddie V

Our reserved table for four people was located in the large party section of the lower level outdoor area. Definitely not the type of seating I expect as an Open Table VIP. The servers were pleasant but the large party was their priority; drink and food services were delayed by the attention being given to the large party. Overall, there are better ocean view dining options in La Jolla and North County.

Went to celebrate our wedding anniversary and as always, Eddie V's did not disappoint. Every server there is first class, and in this case, we were lucky to be served by Brittany who was awesome. Also, Aaron always doing a great job making every dining experience special at Eddie V's. Bone-in ribeye was perfectly cooked and seasoned and the lobster tacos are the best in town. The sashimi appetizer was super tasty and the icing on the cake was the bananas foster desert. We eat out lots and Eddie V's has every other restaurant beat in San Diego for consistency of quality food and service!

First of all, the ocean view was spectacular! Our waiters, Aaron and Alex provided outstanding customer service. They checked with us each time they passed our table and ensured that everything was okay. The crab cake was full of Lump crab meat and was delicious! My Chilean sea bass was perfectly prepared and super scrumptious. The crab cake fried rice was very tasty when added to the broth of the sea bass (Thank you Aaron for the suggestion!). My husband’s filet mignon was prepared perfectly to his liking and he really enjoyed it. Our dessert sampler had a little something for each of us and we enjoyed it all tremendously! We will definitely be back the next time we are in the La Jolla area!

My service at the bar was less than desirable and frankly not what we expected or deserved. I just had a couple of weeks ago a total knee replacement as I can’t stand for long I sat while waiting for our table at the fire pit wish I was permitted kindly by the couple that was enjoying their dinner. The bartender Brandon the proceeded to scream angrily to my husband that he was going to REPORT US! Mind you we are not kids, neither he knew the excruciating pain of my knee. I cannot believe you have people like that working for such a fine restaurant where we have always had wonderful memories and experiences. In contrast to our server later on where we were finally seated, what an extraordinary customer service and experience that was! A young gentleman! In short and with much respect, a person like Brandon does Not fit the extraordinary family of service you had created. Maybe it’s time to let go of such an angry person.
