Meal and service were excellent. Background music was way too loud and intrusive. Management needs to TURN DOWN THE MUSIC. People come to the dining room for fine dining and conversation - not to feel like they’re sitting in a bar competing with loud, intrusive music. Fix that and Eddy V’s would be pretty close to the perfect place for enjoying fine food, beverages, and excellent service.

Service was a bit slow, although it was Mother’s Day, but there were vacant tables so I don’t think they were at maximum occupancy. The whole experience would have been better if our server had checked on us more often. The food was delicious and made for a nice special occasion meal.

Luigi the waiter is amazing. Steaks were great. Sides were ok, exception are the au gratin potatoes; they are delicious. Salad with mushrooms was gross.

The food and service are always great! But this time, we were seated by the bar. The live music was ridiculously loud. So loud that our Apple Watches kept going off with "Loud Sound" warnings. We were there to celebrate a graduation with friends, but we couldn't catch up at all - impossible to hear each other over the music. They played for an hour with no breaks. We would have requested a table change but they started playing once we had drinks and appetizers on the table. Really frustrated by the experience...I like live music but I felt like I was at the front row of a concert. Seriously annoyed even after 3 days....

Reservation in downtown Austin, wedding anniversary. We were pleasantly surprised at the table with a card & rose petals scattered around it. All staff were very professional but especially our waiter CHARLIE! Food was impressive. Ambiance was classic steakhouse. Wait staff were well trained. Five stars.

We brought friends from out of town in and as usual had an amazing meal. Matt our server was exemplary, food was perfect. We continue to say this is the standard to meet in Austin.

Luigi, our server, was excellent, advising on our meal as we were first timers for our anniversary, and he made it a wonderful experience. The food was superb, and the ambience romantic though there were different groups (couples, large families, mixed groups, etc). A great anniversary dinner.

We love everything about it! Creamed spinach was a bit salty and lacking spinach. Great service offset. Steak and sea bass was amazing!

Austin Eddie V is our favorite location beating out Houston and Charlotte. Eric our server delivered next level service. The seafood tower was delicious and so was the redfish special.

I've always loved Eddie V's and this was my first time at the 5th Street Location. Matt was our server, and was awesome. We were going to the opera so only had 1hr to eat, and that included a little birthday cake as well for one of party. We were out of there with the bill paid and car up front from the valet in 1hr and 5mins!

Ordered Steak (perfectly cooked), scallops (I like them a little more well done but forgot to ask), mashed potatoes (a little too salty for my taste, but that’s the first time that’s ever happened) and a wedge salad which was fresh and delicious. We took the Bananas Foster home because we just didn’t have any more room but we know how good it is! Our service was quick and efficient and we felt like we had the best server in the house! Wow! Excellent experience!!!

We went out for a special occasion. My brother in law was in town from Chicago. Our server Gianna was absolutely spectacular. She was amazing with my 11, 12 and 13 year old. She knew the menu inside and out. She made us feel so welcomed and comfortable from the second we sat down and until the moment we left. She accommodated our every want and need. The food was fantastic! But w/o her as our server the entire experience would not have been the same. She is a gem. They are so beyond lucky to have her at Eddie V’s!

We had a great dinner with some friends prior to attending a concert. The food and drinks were excellent, and the white staff knew exactly when to see if you needed anything. Perfect timing!

Great place for date night or special occasion. Food and service top shelf. A nice birthday greeting on the table when we arrived and an awesome free birthday desert. Bottled wines a bit over priced was the reason for not 5 stars on the value.
