Great experience. Lovely waitress and hosts. Definitely will recommend to everyone. We loved everything about it. You guys are doing awesome!!

After we were seated it took 20 minutes for our server to even bring us waters. She then made it seem like we were forcing her to be there and she was very rude. The food was fine, not great but not horrible. However, the cost for what we were receiving was crazy. They also do not have a kids menu.

I would recommend Eatery A for lunch, dinner and happy hour! Their food is consistently fabulous as is their service! I've never had a bad meal or experience at Eatery A! And their happy hour is the best in Des Moines!

Met friends for dinner. We were seated immediately and server came over right away. She was very attentive. Food and drinks were wonderful.

If you want pizza, Eatery A is the BEST in town! They have some different combinations, but even better is the crust. It’s so delicious! Their salads are great as well, along with some delicious appetizers. Our pizza came late, but they apologized for that and gave us a free drink. The patio is outstanding on warm evenings.

Server took drink order and never came back. We sat for at least 20 minutes and left the restaurant.

A few coworkers and I got to Eatery A at 11am on a Friday. The parking lot was relatively empty and so was the restaurant. The volume level was perfect; conversation was easily had without the need to raise voices. The food and drinks were good for all of us. A little pricey, but pretty on par for other places we have experienced as well. Our party was in no rush and neither were the staff. They were some of the best we have experienced in terms of not feeling rushed to get in and out, which made the experience all the more pleasant.

We loved the pizza and the meatballs but everything else was not great. The carrots were hard, the calamari was a tiny plate and overcooked, the roasted beets were average with some weird flavors mixed in, the octopus was fine but didn’t love what it was paired with, and the cacio e pepe was essentially tasteless. I would return for happy hour pizza but probably wouldn’t order anything else on the menu after our first experience here.

The Nutella French toast and Avocado toast with the side of crispy potato’s are to die for! Our server was amazing! I wish I could remember her name! : /

We like going here because all diners can find food they enjoy and/or are able to eat. We have always enjoyed going here for the good food, the very good service. We look forward to getting to eat on the patio.

Eatery A is fantastic! We had a reservation for 4 at 4pm on a Saturday. We were seated promptly & the server arrived within a couple minutes. They have a great happy hour special so we took advantage of that. 1/2 price pizzas & draft beer. The pizza was delicious! I suggest the #2.

Second time dining here but first time inside. Arrived at 5:30pm and the parking lot was packed full. Sat in the small dining room along the west side of the building and it was very loud with a large group next to my table. The room was also very dimly lit, which makes for reading the small font menu challenging. The service was outstanding and the food was very good: chicken shawarma and lasagna were very tasty.

Every pizza 🍕 is always creative & tasty. So many options to choose. Sweet & savory half & half are my favorite pizzas. Best happy hour in town ❣️ Jordan was helpful w wine 🍷 & beer choices.

I went for happy hour and they have a wonderful deal of half off wine and pizza! Our high top table was a little small but otherwise no complaints! So good!

My girlfriend and I came here for the first time for a little date night. We really enjoyed the food, and the service was excellent. The pizzas are the real deal. Light and fluffy with great flavor. We will be back in the spring/summer for some Happy Hour’s when the weather gets nice.

Best pizza ever !! -It was perfectly cooked. Imaginative toppings. Gluten-free crust is also quite good…wish they can char it a bit better on the bottom :)

Great happy hour! Half price pizza and wine (by the glass and bottle). Dessert was absolutely delicious. The tables are close together, so you can hear other customers conversations. Overall, excellent experience!

Eatery A should be named Eatery D for disappointment. The restaurant wasn’t busy at all yet it took 25 minutes to get our drinks. Food was mediocre at best.

Not sure if it was just a bad night but the duck was way under cooked. The pineapple pizza was not edible we had to send back it was a soggy limp mess. The lasagna was black burnt around the edge. The waitress was more attentive to the drinkers than the table service. The only saving grace as the baba ganoush and the hanger steak otherwise it was dissapointing which my son said is the first time he has had a bad experience and he has been there several times.. not sure I will attempt another visit

As always, Eatery A food is incredible! The booth we were at had a lighting issue and was abnormally dark. Additionally, the only 2 beers we asked for that were listed on the menu, they don’t actually serve due to an outdated menu. Still love it there and will go back!
