Le Dusty's Wine Bar est reconnu dans tout le pays pour sa cuisine américaine contemporaine avec un style du Nouveau Monde. Food can be spotty @ Dusty's, but tonight the food was excellent. Service, ambiance, value always good. Menu tonight creative without being "way-out". Kentucky mules well balanced.

Great service. Wish the entrees were as delightful. The portion size for the duck was so small and was accompanied by a very small portion of vegetable. The other meals were similar. Felt as though we’d ordered tapas (small plates), not entrees. Food was tasty, but not for the price we paid. I’d love to try Dusty’s again, but not worth the risk with those prices. Hopefully, I catch a happy hour special or something for the next go around.

Went there for our anniversary. The noise level was so high we could barely chat. The waitress was nice but gave misinformation on the soft-shell crab appetizer . She said it came with 2 and only one was served. It was a bit pricey at $30.00 for 1. My husband enjoyed the duck breast. He wished they served a potato or rice with it. I ordered the Halibut. It was cooked perfectly but the sauce was very bland. Overall a 3 out 5 .

The food was excellent. Our server was excellent. The only issue is if you have any kind of food allergy or need to make any kind of substitution, they are not willing to do it at all. They will only subtract ingredients you cannot add any. This was problematic as we had a diabetic person with us and they didn’t even want to add cheese to a Caesar salad.😞

The food was pretty good except the onion soup. Was sort of flavorless the onions were undercooked and there was too much cheese in it. But everything else was excellent.

Been here many times, this one was a letdown. The food seemed sub par compared to the normal expectations. My wife didn’t eat her dinner, but thankfully was able to get some charcuterie snacks on the way out for home. Service was great, which made the experience a little better.

Very disappointed in the menu. OpenTable had a menu that was sent to us confirming the reservation. When we arrived at restaurant, menu was not similar to what was sent to us at all. Waiter said they have a new chief as of a few months ago and since OpenTable is a third party site, it was not up to date. What a joke. Menu that was sent was fabulous and we were very excited. When we got there, menu more than disappointed us! I felt bad for inviting friends to join us. Food was OK, nothing special.

Always a consistent level of service. Our friend wanted an espresso martini, they didn’t have espresso. They convinced them they could make one with coffee liqueur. It was not at all good. Our meals were great and I loved the beet salad. Our service level was great.

I took my husband for his birthday since this is is our favorite spot. As usual we had a nice eating experience. The service, the food was as expected, amazing. I hate the fact that I'm really bad with names and I can't recall the name of my server but she was very nice and attentive abd very sweet

Dusty’s is one of the best kitchens in the area. Our food came out a little slow. The Shrimp and Grits appetizer blew our entree out of the water. Perfectly cooked grits and shrimp. Excellent flavors. The duck was good. However we understood the chef recommended medium rare, it may have rested too long. Potentially on the plate. Some of the liquid fat appeared to “break” the orange marmalade which was delicious but not appealing. Would’ve loved some more complexity from the endive, it was just charred slightly. Thank you to everyone, we had a lovely first date.

We always enjoy Dusty’s. They have a nice choice of appetizers, but I wish they had not discontinued the mussels. They were so good. The food is always very good, and the service is great! I usually get the hangar steak which is excellent, but last night I tried the haddock and shrimp. Very good!! The house wine is also very good. Nice place to enjoy good food in a nice atmosphere.

Am an Okemos grad and area native, who has been to Dusty’s finer dining restaurant perhaps 50 or more times…And I’m sorry to say that after decades of very solid dining experiences, the quality of food, service and overall experience has fallen dramatically…And this was by far the worst! $40 Short ribs that were so incredibly tough to cut through, almost asked for a serrated steak knife…an order of $45 medium rare Duck, that was medium well and again needed a steak knife it was so tough…and honestly the rest of small dishes, entrees and desserts were amateur hour. Despite all of that, the prices were higher than ever. I will be contacting management this weekend to share the experience. What a total shame!!

We have been patrons of dustys for years. Both the wine bar and the tap room. It’s always been our go to place for special events Last time we were there was last spring. Upon arriving last Friday were quite shocked with the menu. The prices had increased dramatically, the selections were limited, and the sides were grits, polenta to puréed potatoes. No normal sides like potatoes or no rice. The portions were very small and the plating and presentation were not pleasing to the eye. I ordered the braised short rib but it was very small, no vegetable and I requested potatoes because I cannot stomach polenta. Theo were at least willing to do that. The braising sauce “bled” totally into the potatoes and it was unappealing. The meat was tasty but the portion very small and not worth $45. I am a small woman but a man would be left starving. My partner ordered the half chicken and she said that was very good and she liked the grits but also agreed that the prices were high and selections limited. I do not understand not offering a starch of some sort. I noticed someone being served the salmon, in the past one of my favorites. The customer complained of the tiny portion and the 3 stalks of asparagus for what he was paying. They were out of the ravioli. No doubt because it was the least expensive item on the menu and the most normal. We enjoy different but overall we’re quite disappointed. We will return but will definitely be better prepared by checking the menu first. We didn’t in the past because we knew it was a dependable choice. We were told a new chef started just the week before. We understand a new chef wants to bring in new ideas and dishes but maybe one or two at a time. I would recommend but let them know how much it has changed and the prices. Service was outstanding as usual.

Nearly half the menu was not available. Steak was not cooked to ordered temperature. The entire restaurant was in a flux over the lack of food available. Apparently the new chef was in the process of changing the menu. I can understand flipping the menus with a new chef, but at least have some of your new items as specials. The wait staff was trying to g hard, manager was out of state. We have been regulars for years, sorry to say never going back.

For the price!! Service was not great!! The shrimp appetizer was over cooked and really fishy! Super loud in the dining room! And the steak was good but come on $80 for a NY strip! At that price I would have expected a step up on all levels!

They changed their menu a couple days before we had dinner there. The new menu did not have as many options to choose from. We were told that much of the entree choices were actually appetizer size portions. We ordered the salmon, shrimp, and steak. The food was good but not excellent for the price. There was no bread service which was disappointing. My son, a skinny 18 yr old, was still hungry when we left. Overall, I would not recommend.

Dusty’s has always rested on their laurels….. never changing their menu. But now it is not even recognizable. Service was fine but the menu has shrunk even more than their post Covid menu. The physical menu looked like it was typed up in the back room. Hope you like asparagus because it comes with every entree. Prices were U.N. believable! $60 for one double lamb chop? That’s $15 per bite!. My companion ordered the veggie plate. It consisted of a wedge of squash and cauliflower…. Completely dry. Will not be returning.
