The warm amber tones, sophisticated décor and art compliment the steak & seafood restaurant's central masterpiece, the Charge Up San Juan Hill painting.

This significant painting of Teddy Roosevelt and the Rough Riders measures almost eight feet tall by six feet wide and is one of the largest paintings located at The Mission Inn Hotel & Spa.

Service and staff were excellent. I had the 16 Oz Rib Eye. It was ok. Side of creamed spinach and a Lobster Bisque to start. Steak was not what I remembered it as. Maybe an off night, staff and waiter excellent.

We drove from Palm Springs for a celebratory dinner for my mother's 90th birthday. We were told by the server no birthday dessert? Seriously, EVERY steakhouse I have ever been to compliments a birthday dessert. $14 split charge; however, no additional baked potato...the whole concept of a split charge! The $20 salad was a joke...some shredded lettuce with MINIMAL ingredients. The bartender, the bar right outside of the restaurant, told me all drinks come from there, but I couldn't get the Rodney Strong Cabernet. Gee, have you ever heard of goodwill Dean (server)?, as there was a wine cart beside us that had the Decoy Merlot on it that I ordered before we sat down for dinner. The server picked up the completed check before we left the table; I was still finishing up my wine. What that tells me is he wants you to leave so he can get another seating...VERY tacky!!! One last thing, the server brought my mother a blanket...sweet, but are you serious that's your solution instead of getting management to turn up the heat cuz it was so cold inside the restaurant?! I highly doubt I'd ever return.

Steak & mashed potatoes were overly salty. Got a replacement steak & it’s better. Had to get baked potato bec mashed potatoes is premade/premixed. Crab cakes are bland & very costly. No sweetness and saltiness taste whatsoever. Most of all, reservation was for our 30th anniversary & no one made it special at all. No one greeted us & server apologized that they don’t give complementary dessert. He assumed we’re after the free dessert instead of offering us desserts to order.

Food was great but it took an hour to get our meal. It looked like there was only 2 waiter’s for the hole place. Took forever to get our check also

Unfortunately, the experience was not very good. Best thing about dinner was the cocktail we had at the bar before being seated. We were there two months ago and the food and service was great. We won’t go back for a while.

We were sat on a corner where the booth next to us was facing our table. It felt uncomfortable. We had a bottle of Pinot Noir. It was decent. Shared a caesar salad. It lacked taste. It was very bland. The rib eye steak was cooked perfectly and delicious. Side of asparagus and mushrooms were okay. To end the dinner, we ordered the bread pudding and it was the star of the evening.
