An outstanding experience from start to finish. While our table was being prepared we enjoyed top-notch cocktails by the bar. They quickly brought us to our table. Attentive and friendly service throughout. Answered our questions… and the food! Delicious, fresh, filling. Would recommend this place to anyone.

I have Been a chef and owner of a restaurant for 35 years and also am Korean born….Dons Bogam is a place we keep coming back to because it never disappoints…. Excellent kimchi jigae, excellent side dishes and a no fuss approach to service. Love this place!

The food was good, adequate portions, but the service was not so good. They don’t explain anything of our food, they don’t ask if we want anything else, they don’t allowed us to taste any of the wine, they don’t serve any dessert’s…so compare to that I will suggest you to choose some other place if you want to enjoy this kind of grill

This is my third time eating at Dons Bogam and it continues to exceed expectations. Highly recommend reserving the BBQ Table, it adds a little something to your meal! The Japchae is incredible and my personal favorite is the spicy marinated beef, but the brisket was amazing too!! Don't pass this one up if you find yourself in K-Town!

I planned a birthday celebration for my boyfriend and searched “best KBBQ in NYC” online and Dons Bogam came up, and it truly was incredible!!! We had never been here before or had KBBQ before, and had such an amazing first-time experience. Reserving our table for 6 at least 2 weeks in advance was a breeze and confirming the res a day before was accurate and timely. The staff was excellent and attentive even though the place is lively! We loved how the food was prepared for us in the grills and took the guess work out for us as to how cooked the raw meats should be. We feasted with 3 appetizers, 2 of the 5 meat platters, a bulgogi platter, and more. The only tricky thing was the physical seating — it is concave in the floor so it feels like you are getting into a roller coaster ride, but it is part of the experience haha! We would absolutely come back and we’re so grateful that we had such a great time and excellent food!

The food was absolutely delicious. Service was very prompt and really friendly, side dishes and water were refilled quickly without us asking. We had a wonderful evening and look forward to coming back next time we visit NY.

The service was absolutely terrible. The first server argued with me about not ordering enough and the 2nd server made me count out my money to try to prove that I didn't tip but gratuity was included. Horrific behavior at a restaurant, it's not a scheme, I'm eating out on my own will and tipping on my own will.

This is my favorite restaurant in New York. I’ve been coming here for many years and introduced my husband to Dons and he is now a fan as well. Every visit always exceeds our expectations. From the service to the incredible food to the scene. Hands down the best restaurant!

The food was excellent. The service was polite. No questions if we wanted dessert or coffee - or extra drinks. Felt like the waiters were rushing through our dinner instead of letting us relax with the first (and only) drink

The food was excellent as always. I have been there many times and it never disappoints. But this time was the first time we had a very unfriendly waitress. She was pressuring us to order more. After we placed our order, she said that it wasn't enough for the 4 of us. So we added a dish. At the end we had leftovers. All in all the waitress was rude and didn't make us feel welcome.

The menu requires 2 BBQ dishes in order to cook at the table. We chose the ribeye and the pork belly. The BBQ ribeye was very good quality with marbling in the meat. The pork belly was good portion with clear layers of fat and meat. The attendant took care of the cooking for us and maneuvered the meat with ease. She cooked the meat to the doneness as requested and offered to trim the fat for us. She also gave us sufficient time to finish one type of meat before cooking the other so we were not rushed. In addition, for a party of 4, we also ordered the ginseng chicken, seafood pancake, bimbimbap and spicy squid. On top of all these dishes, they brought us banchan (Korean side dishes) and refills. Everyone was well-fed and enjoyed the dinner very much.

The service was very good, especially the host and our waitress. The food was good. Wish they gave little more generous amount of food. People said the restaurant was upscale... but we were little disappointed with the plastic personal plates and the thin napkin...

Service was good. Had to ask for sparkling water three times but other than that it was good. Food was under seasoned and a bit overpriced. Worst margarita of my life. Limited wines by the glass No dessert menu It was not even half full, middle of afternoon and we felt rushed to pay and leave once done eating

My first time in a Korean restaurant and it was an excellent experience. Great food and the servers were really kind.

I had server complain about my tip after the meal. If you want more money increase the price or pay your employees better.

The food was excellent and delicious. The only thing I would have liked is if we did the cooking versus the server.
