Owner Brian Piccini and Chef/Owner Christopher Coombs are proud of their award winning Restaurant & Bar, Deuxave in the Back Bay. The inspiration behind the restaurant’s American Nouveau Cuisine is seasonality, with a focus on working with the finest farms and purveyors, sourcing out the freshest, local ingredients and amplifying their magnificence. The cuisine is strongly rooted in the nouvelle techniques of contemporary French cuisine, married with the splendor of American ingredients in a refined, but casual setting. Everything was outstanding. Food delicious, wait staff very attentive. It was just the best restaurant experience that we have had in a long time. We will certainly make this our favorite restaurant. Three of us had the duck and raved about it.

We ate outside on the patio at Deuxave last night on a beautiful night in May. It is a quintessential setting reminding us of Paris and other European cities, where eating outside and people watching is a common activity. The food is always great, and I particularly enjoyed my usual favorite the Duck Confit appetizer and a new entre the Halibut. Great food, drink, and service in a perfect setting outside is tough to beat.

It was our first time at Deuxave celebrating our 26 year Anniversary. Everything was outstanding from the service to the food. We will be returning for sure.

we had the duck confit, halibut and beet salad. All were stellar and I've had both the duck confit and halibut before. The 10 year WhistlePig Manhattan was excellent. The cherry tart was different but very good

This is the best French restaurant in the Boston area now that Lumiere and l'Espalier are gone. The food is excellent and the wine list is superb with a concentration in Burgundies, but plenty of other options.

This is my fourth visit to Deuxave. Up until now, this has been our favorite restaurant in Boston. On this occasion, it being a warm evening, we decided to sit on the outdoor patio (our first time). This was a completely different experience from the generally excellent service we have received while dining inside the restaurant. Our server was far too interested in telling his life story to the tables around ours, that the service we received was marginal at best. At one point, having heard him tell a nearby table about his prior career, all the other restaurants he worked at, what wine he liked, where he lived, how he recently moved, for somewhere in the neighborhood of 15 minutes, it all became funny it was such a farce. We had to ask for our bottle of wine twice (inside they decanted, outside not). Outside I had to ask the runners to remove extra plates as they piled up on the table. Inside petit fours at the end of the meal…outside not. You get the picture. Will I go back? Yes, the food was still excellent. However, I’ll be dining inside.
