Della Santina's Trattoria in Sonoma, San Francisco is a traditional Italian restaruant serving recipes mostly from Lucca, Italy. It was founded by Quirico (Dan) and Shirley Della Sanitina. With the passing of Shirley Della Santina - Quirico, his son Robert and wife Nicole continue to carry on the family business and Tuscan traditions. Quirico is the chef behind the menu and has provided what's been described as Italian comfort food in a gorgeously authentic Italian setting. When you walk in the front entrance you'll be greeted by truly Italian decorations and design, as well as fresh flowers on every table.

Della Santina's offers a variety of home made pastas, antipasti, soups and salads, juicy rotisserie cooked meats and fresh seafood. Local wines from Sonoma, as well as Italian wines and beers are all featured on the wine list. Della Santina's received the 2023 Sonoma Index-Tribune People's Choice Awards for Italian Cuisine and Romantic Meal.

I ate there with friends visiting from Seattle and he is a professional chef. The wild boar ragu was spectacular, and the Petrale Sole Dore was perfect. We live here in wine country with many excellent restaurants, and unreservedly this is our favorite of all. We prefer to eat about 3 pm on a weekday ,and feel like we have met an old friend in a Tuscan garden. The ambiance eating at 7PM was of course different, but everyone was happy in a packed house. I do not drink, but my friend assured me the wine list was more than appropriate for a Sonoma-Napa restaurant, with an excellent choice of Italian wines.

My neighborhood eatery! Always a relaxing evening with good to great food. Great atmosphere in their patio dining area. My last visit was just to treat myself to a birthday dinner. I will return!!!

This restaurant was like stepping into Italy for an authentic dining experience. From the owner visiting with us at our table, to the home-made pasta, and the refreshing house wine and warm bread, we are so thankful we found this place!

Food ranged from OK to good. Silly to serve a plate of three slices of melon and prosciutto to four people. Waiter were, at best, OK, a bit surly. Owner is a delightful guy.

We sat outside, it was a beautiful night and a beautiful setting! The food was good. I have a gluten allergy and they handled it with ease. The lamb shank was enough food for everyone to have some, certainly way too much for me to enjoy alone. Others had the penne with sausage meatballs, ravioli and something that I can’t remember but they were all enjoyable! The service was great! I wish they were open later. We came by the night before and they were closed at 8:15

Had a delicious lunch on the back patio. Great setting, service and amazing food. Definitely a great spot to eat on a sunny day in Sonoma. The patio is covered by vines and an tent. Very comfortable set up even on a hot day.

Atmosphere was lovely. The waiter was helpful and courteous. The gnocchi crema pesto was fabulous. 4th time we are back and will return again next time we visit!

Outstanding food 0 main courses were great and pasta was the best i have ever had, including in Italy. Service was amazing. Mr Della Santina visited every table to ensure everything was good.

Della Santina never disappoints. Consistently great food, delicious wines, and excellent service. The patio is beautiful and the atmosphere is light, casual and comfortable. A great Sonoma landmark!
