Le Davanti Enoteca est un petit bar à vins italien rustique servant des assiettes légères. Il dispose d'un grand salon, d'une salle à manger principale ainsi que d'une salle privée pour les réceptions pouvant accueillir jusqu'à 40 personnes. Le centre de la salle à manger principale dispose d'un authentique four à pizza où vous pourrez observer la fabrication des pizzas maison par les talentueux pizzaïolos. Mother’s Day Brunch was excellent. Service was impeccable. My mother was very impressed and pleasantly surprised. So were my siblings, none of whom has been there before. It was a tad loud and tricky for my mom to maneuver with her walker. But, not the fault of the owner or staff.

Regular customer, had Sunday 6:30 reservation for our anniversary. Staff rushed us astonishingly, brought all courses within minutes, gave us check at 7:07, then stood and watched us. Heard personnel discussing who could leave when each of four tables emptied. No obvious manager left in bar area as we exited. We deserved better than being glared out at 7:20. Spent $150. Going elsewhere next time. This was crap.

We arrived late on Monday evening but felt completely welcome. Great advice on ordering; food was great and loved the ambience. Wished we had more people to share more things! We will be back.

The service, food, and ambience are all consistently impeccable. I highly recommend the polenta with Ragu. Ours this time was pork shoulder Ragu, and it was unbelievably good! Get it with a side of bread for an extra treat! Plenty to share or a hearty entrée for one.

It was a bust Saturday night and a group of us had the best service and the best meal at Davanti Enoteca. The ambiance was lovely and we will definitely be returning.

Changing menu first two choices for wine unavailable. Ended up with nice Sangiovese. Calamari flavored well be slightly over done. Marinara sauce excellent. Gnocchi was excellent

I had a reservation for 8pm and arrived a little early (7:50) and got seated right away. We waited for over 20 min for a server that never came to us until we decided to leave.

First visit and overall good experience. Our server, Hector was outstanding, very informative and patient. As seasoned diners, we have two things that we found problematic. First, wine prices were outrageous. Erath was the featured wine for $85 bottle, this wine retails for $15.99 at Binnys and slightly more elsewhere. Second, I ordered the salmon special and my husband the lamb bolognese. His meal arrived about 8 minutes before mine, that is simply unacceptable. As I said, we enjoyed our experience overall.

They used too much cracked pepper on the pasta. The whipped ricotta was wonderful. Salmon could have been cooked less.

This was the worst restaurant from a food standpoint. Had the ricotta with honey it was ok, definitely have had better. The fried artichoke was uneatable. Linguine and clams was almost uneatable, too fishy. Pizza tastes fine but were poorly made attempts at Neapolitan style. They killed the airy crust and were very soggy. Someone needs to teach them how to hand stretch dough. It had been a few years (pre-pandemic) since we’d been. Remember it being a good spot. May it fell way off.

Because we had one person who has hearing issues, we requested the back room. I called an hour before to confirm the reservation and I was told that we were in fact in that space. When we arrived we were told that they had a private party there and we would be in the main dining area. It was very loud and we were in the aisle from the kitchen. Several times we were hit by servers carrying food and plates back and forth. Also, it was so busy or understaffed that they messed up several orders. The food was very good, as usual. I do believe the portions have shrunk in the last year. I'm not sure we will return because of this

We can tolerate a loud restaurant if we have to, but when it is made worse by terrible non-background music, once was enough for us. Waitress was nice but she overcharged me $2 for a 6 oz. pour of Montelpuciano, which then became $18. Didn't have time to make an issue of it, still tipped her fairly. Maybe lunch perhaps, but not dinner again.

Excellent service...our waiter was friendly, helpful and hospitable! The wine was delicious and our food was on-point. I love that Davanti continues to be a solid all around fabulous dining experience! It's one of our favorites!

My best friend and I make a yearly trip to Davanti...starting back in 2015 when the Taylor Street location was open. When that closed it broke our hearts, but we found Western Springs and hope was renewed. Despite one bad trip two years ago. We have never been disappointed yesterday was no exception. Hector was fabulous!!! The food was stellar! The drinks were incredible! We are so happy...we're coming back sooner! Thank you for a wonderful meal.
