Le Columbia est le plus ancien restaurant de Floride, fondé dans l'historique quartier d'Ybor City à Tampa en 1905. Géré et exploité par la même famille depuis plus de 111 ans, il a acquis une solide réputation pour son charme d'antan ainsi que sa cuisine espagnole/cubaine et sa carte de vins primée. This is an amazing place, it is consistently excellent with food, service, and atmosphere. A must visit for us each time we come to Tampa. Generational owner little piece of Ybor.

Went for lunch. Sat at a table in the bar room. Room had a musty odor where we sat. Food was OK but had a belly ache shortly thereafter. I have always enjoyed the Columbia restaurants. Hoping this was a one time occurance.

We took our son and his girlfriend there for their first Columbia dining experience and they seated us in the BAR, which was so LOUD that we couldn’t hear each other. We asked for another table, preferably in the Patio, but even though we had reservations, they said we would have to get in line at the front and wait for the first available table. The place was jammed and our reservations were at 7pm, so we opted to keep our table in the BAR. It was a terrible experience for all of us, except for the outstanding service provided by Addison! I doubt my son and his girlfriend will ever return because you never get a second chance at a first impression! It will be a long time before we ever take friends/family there again, as this was the worst experience in 28 years of dining there! We didn’t even know they had dining in the BAR! Extremely disappointed, Mr. Gonzmart!!

very nice restaurant, great history and wait staff was very good. we notified some one when we made reservations that we were celebrating our 47th anniversary but must have slid thru the cracks, we told our waiter before we left

What an amazing dinner. From the history of the restaurant to the knowledge the waitstaff has of the origin to the food. Words cannot do justice to this restaurant. We will be back and recommending it to everyone traveling to the Tampa area.

We brought friends from out of town to the restaurant and they loved it. They enjoyed the 1905 salad, the shrimp and scallops appetizers and their main courses.

We had reservations for 7:00 on a Sunday night and were seated a few minutes before. It was typically busy, but our waitress was quick to answer any questions we had and to take our order. She had a very large party next us at the same time, but was as attentive and sweet as she could be. I wish I could remember her name. We both started with Gazpacho, which was delicious. My Wife had shrimp and yellow rice and I had Ropa Vieja. Both entrees were fantastic. Another great experience at Columbia!

A great evening with excellent food. The only thing I would critique is the portion size of the 1905 salad. We got it for the table of 4 and for $40 it was about what I would consider a portion for 2. Although incredibly delicious, too small for the price.

The service was absolutely amazing. The environment and atmosphere were fantastic as well. Regrettably, the food was bland and underwhelming. I would try again in the hopes that perhaps they were so overwhelmed and swamped that the food quality took a hit.

My Daughter graduated with her Masters from USF and this was her celebration dinner. Everything we had from the table side Mojito’s to our entree’s was as fantastic!! Big shout out to Frank who kept it all rolling!!😎

Some of the most flavorful food we've had in a restaurant. Highly recommend the Sangria, bean soup, 1905 salad and the Chocolate Dream dessert. Cuban sandwich was amazing - wonderful light-smoke flavor on incredible bread (which is also served in advance to the table).

Always a huge fan of The Columbia, today was just okay. Service was slacking, never got checked on, no refills. A bit disappointing.

I would like to preface this by saying I am a diner who appreciates good service, tips 20% as a base and will frequently tip 30% for exceptional service. As a former server, I understand how hard the job can be and tip extra to show my appreciation. If service is bad or average, I still tip 15% and I never complain. I will just grumble and not say anything as the cost benefit analysis never favors making a stink. Sooooo, at the Columbia on a Saturday lunch service, we sit down at our table at 11:30 a.m. Server doesn't come to us until noon. We did not get water or any beverages until 12:15 pm. 45 minutes later. I tracked it, no exageration. It wasn't all that crowded either. Our server had three tables and that seemed to be two too many. My friend ordered an appetizer and our server asked when he wanted it?? My friend replied, "bring it when it's ready." Non H20 drinks arrive at 12:30. Then at 12:45 my plate of chicken arrived. Mind you, no salads, no appetizer have been brought out. So I am sitting there in an uncomfortable position of having a plate of chicken in front of me and no one else has anything. He returns to check on us and if everything is ok. I ask if he could bring my meal back after we get our salads and appetizers like a normal meal that I have had at every other restaurant in the world. He then starts arguing with me that we asked for the food to come out when it's ready. I admittedly raised my voice in displeasure that, not only has he f'd up our meal and put me in the uncomfortable position of arguing with him in front of my family and friends, but that he was wrong and my pal asked for the appetizer to come when it was ready (and why was that question even asked?). As I hand him the chicken back, out comes all the food at once, salads, apps and entrees. The mood was soured but we tried to make the best of it. My family and I will never go back there again, sadly . . . .

Outstanding service! We were shown our table as soon as we walked in. Server was super attentive. Great classic mojito. Stuffed mushrooms tapas were great. Ordered the seafood paella and the seafood fideau. Both were outstanding and the portions were very large. Fantastic experience. Highly recommend it.

Long wait for food and drinks. Waiter just not service oriented. Parchment wrapped fish was way overcooked mush. Some stuff was good but did not meet the expectations of a hundred year old establishment. My sister who is someone who ran fine steak houses before retirement said when she was there 10 years ago was fantastic. Suspect covid and the fact there are now 7 locations (gone corporate) a big factor. This place has it all with the right manager running it. Not there now.

The Columbia is my fiancé’s favorite restaurant and the experience was amazing as always, the service was excellent and the food was outstanding. We always look forward to visiting as we are not near one of them and always enjoy going to the Columbia as a special treat.

The Columbia Restaurant never disappoints. This location located in Ybor City is beautiful and has that Spanish atmosphere that takes you back to Spain. The food was delicious and the staff is very attentive to all of your needs. We will definitely be going back.

We were looking forward to dining at this beautiful iconic restaurant. It is very crowded and noisy but we could have overlooked that had the food hadn’t been so disappointing. Both the chicken and the rice in the Arroz Con Pollo were extremely dry and unpleasant. The Ropa Veija was ok but not remarkable . On the bright side, our server was very pleasant and helpful.

Definitely old Spanish charm, I would recommend the show because it made the dining experience more enjoyable. The food was mediocre but the service was very good. It’s just a regular restaurant, chairs uncomfortable and the hype was just too high.
