Ouvert en 1983 par la chef passionnée Sally Clarke, cette légende locale sur Kensington Church Street est devenue un coup de cœur pour les critiques professionnels et les gourmets amateurs. Depuis 21 ans, Sally sert un souper « sans choix » de quatre plats, mais maintenant il existe menu qui change chaque semaine et qui met en valeur sa passion pour les produits de saison de qualité. Les herbes et les légumes proviennent de fournisseurs biologiques de l'Angleterre du Sud-Est; la mozzarella de bufflonne est importée de Naples deux fois par semaine; et les crustacés sont livrés pendant la nuit par train depuis l'Écosse. Les plats populaires comprennent le filet de chevreuil de Balmoral aux pommes avec sauce à la sauge; le filet de barbue de Cornish cuit au four dans une chapelure aux fines herbes et une crème de thym; et la tarte au chocolat noir et châtaigne. Clarke est tout simplement une expérience inoubliable.

With so many 5 star ratings and a price over £250 for 2, I had high expectations. Chosen with care I expected to go WOW sadly I didn't. The service was super efficient but they clucked over the regulars like a mother hen while not once where we even ask how was our day or why we were in London. Dining out is an experience sadly this aspect just came across as pretentious. My wife's starter of asparagus has a beautiful hollandaise sauce and my lobster was fine but a bit chewy. Both our mains of Chicken and Dover Sole were uninspiring with the blandest carrots we have tasted in a while. My cheese board had nice cheeses. The strawberries tasted beautiful but seriously a bowl of brown sugar and cream for £16 even in London. To be clear each course was fine but not once did I go that was amazing which is what I hoped for with so many 5 stars for me it was 3.5.

My London favorite for 18 years! Sally Clarke is a culinary hero. One feels immediately welcome in the gracious, intimate and understated elegance of her restaurant home. The menu never misses. Nobody does better with fish, potatoes and delectable sauces. The vegetables are sexy! I would eat anything she sources and prepares. Thank you Sally and your lovely staff. PS the new GF bread is extraordinary.

Sally Clarke’s is everything you could hope for in a fantastic meal. The cuisine is intelligently sourced, carefully prepared, and gracefully served. I have often dined here and always wonder why I would dine anywhere else with equivalent flavours and cuisine. To dine here is to experience Art, in all the senses. After years of visiting this establishment in Kensington when in London on trips from the U.S., I specifically chose this neighbourhood when we relocated to London to be within walking distance from Sally’s restaurant. Sally’s has never failed to provide a top-notch dining experience for me and my family and our closest friends.

Exceptionally professional, polite and well-dressed service. Excellent food. Not noisy so one can easily have business or social conversation. I put it on my list of go-to restaurants.

Fabulous food fabulous service. We live in the North and therefore don’t get down to London that often. Hadn’t been to Clarke’s in a while but it was as good as ever. Well he back!

As always and so consistently, Clarke's is a haven away from the bustling world, a calm, beautiful space where one always feels welcome, relaxed and treated with great care and unstuffy elegance. The food is delicious and showcases the flavours of each dish to perfection. I have been a loyal customer for years, and still always very much look forward to each visit with enthusiasm. Bravo Sally, you are running a great show and making many people very happy!
