    An icon on Brick Lane. I feel like by now so many people have visited this great restaurant that my review won't do much, However they deserve the reputation with their great food and service. Definitely the best indian on brick lane.

    In ym 20 years of loving Indian food and even travelling across India, I am pretty sure indian food does not get much better than this :)

    Fabulous iconic restaurant. Perhaps the go to if you want amazing Indian food in the east end and for sure on Brick Lane. I always love it. Used to be a long time fan of tayyabs but City Spice has certainly won me over!

    A group of 10 friends for a late evening curry in Brick Lane. Very welcoming, great service and food. Reasonable prices.

    We felt everything about this restaurant was pretty average. We had booked online and availed of the OpenTable experience which was a reduced price for a Thali Thali platter at £18.95 p er head which had to be paid upfront. This was supposedly 45% discount. The restaurant is small and tables are close together so without wanting to you could hear the next tables conversation. When we went in we were seated but no one came to serve us despite there being plenty of staff. We had to call the waiter over to order a drink. When a waiter came to take our order we told him we had booked the experience menu online. He asked me for proof and then asked to see the email proving that payment had been made upfront. We had pompadums to start with which were very good, and then a meat Thali and a fish Thali. They were just okay, nothing to write home about. We had three pints of the Indian kingfisher beer which were good. The waiter made a big deal of the fact that the offer was at a reduced price and that the remaining bill did not include a service charge. He also handed us a crumbled card with a QR code and said a good rating would be very good for them! We did not scan the code at the time even though he waited on us to do so. Our total bill for the evening, excluding a tip came to £57.90 which we thought was too much for a meal that we found underwhelming.

    With food like that, City Spice is definitely one of the best indian restaurants in brick lane! Absolutely divine! Had the lamb saag, the chana and the keema rice. Great great food!

    A great place to eat on Brick Lane, been a regular for years. Staff are always on point in service and very friendly. The food has never let me down either, this time had a dansak and their special gunpowder chicken. Was a great day out.
