Came on a Saturday at 630pm. Service was ok.The kitchen was very slow. One of our dinner order was replaced with another meal without being asked because they ran out of an item. We were too hungry to get upset or ask for another meal. Fettuccini was good. Chocolate mouse cake with cherries also tasty. No bathroom in the restaurant, shared restroom with the book store next door. Only problem was the book store closed by the time we were done with our meal and the restroom was no longer available.

Thank you for trying us out. Unfortunately as your table was finishing we had been unaware that the bookshop closed early that night. As a result of your review, we are now setting up a back entrance to the restrooms every Friday and Saturday night from 7-10pm. S we thank you for your comments. As far as the fettuccine, our server had been sure that you had originally ordered the Pasta Rosettes. Unfortunately, when he brought your meal the fettuccine was in fact no longer available. Please accept our apologies, as well as our thanks for your comments.

absolutely fantastic. We were served by the owner himself! Very nice and did a great job explaining each dish and drink. Fabulous cocktails. Get the chocolate martini with tequila! Great chicken parm and even better chicken mole!

It stated in the description that it was a family friendly restaurant however there is no kid menu. When we asked for a child friendly item we were told we could get the fettuccine noodles with parmesan cheese, since we wanted a mac and cheese type food. We were charged $23 dollars for a plate of noodles with parmesan on top which was more than both my husbands or my meal. The food was marginal and wine selection was nothing special. Shares bathroom with book store just not a great family dinner place at all.

We had a wonderful meal, delicious food, delightful ambiance at an outdoor table with a heater nearby, friendly service, reasonable prices. One of our favorite places to eat out!

The chocolate cocktails are a must. They mix chocolate flavors with original flavors. The chocolate-based main dishes, the porc, and the chicken molle are also very flavorful. The chocolate cake and the truffles conclude the meal on a high note. Congrats! We will be back.

We had reservations for outside but were accommodated to move inside since it was too cold and noisy. Love the relaxed atmosphere and friendliness of the owner and staff. Had the chocolate mezcal martini and it was perfect since I did not want a sweet drink and wanted to taste the mezcal. The food was outstanding! And most of their desserts gluten-free. I had a chocolate layer cake that was delicious.

It was great! Had the Salmon and the fettuccine. Highly recommend the pesto sauce.

This is quite possibly the most creative menu in Santa Cruz and the dishes are beautifully executed. It's lovey to sit at an outdoor table. The spicy pineapple margarita was really good!

We loved our date night at Chocolate. The food was unique and excellent. The garden seating was beautiful and peaceful. The service was excellent.
