Chili House Chinese Restaurant is an award winning San Francisco Chinese restaurant located on dynamic Clement Street in San Francisco which prepares all your favorite authentic Chinese cuisine, Szechuan regional specialties including spicy and non-spicy dishes, Mandarin style dim sum and family dishes.

Chef Han has served two Chinese Presidents and was the previous Executive Chef in the office of the Consulate General of China in San Francisco.

San Francisco residents, as well as tourist and dignitaries from all around the world come to Chili House for business lunch, dinners, special events and to order our fast and reliable Chinese take out.

The food is not authentic, the very famous Peking duck is also just okay. The food are overpriced. Only 2-3 waiter for full house customer, they do not have enough waiter to serve people, cannot fulfill the request in appropriate time. do not recommend this place. very disappointment

We were a party of 4 and visiting from the East Coast. They forgot our reservation and they put us in the back next to the kitchen. The tea smoked duck was dry and did not have a good taste - the other dishes were fine but they served Chow Fun noodles all stuck together. I highly recommend the Chicken Basil. The service was solid and friendly.

Even with a reservation, we had to sign in and wait in line. The dumplings were ok the dough was thick and the filling bland. Nothing memorable and delicious and we were hungry so hoped it would be better. It was busy and they could have used more people to help with the line management and getting food to tables. They forgot our pot stickers until we asked and then it wa really too late.

We are foodies and don’t mind spending money on good quality food. While visiting SFO the Chili House restaurant kept popping up in my Facebook and thought let’s give it a try. Well we’re we ever so pleased the Peking duck and all the other foods were absolutely delicious funny thing we were a party of 3 and the waitress said we were ordering way too much food, there wasn’t a crumb left over. I highly recommend this restaurant.

The Peking duck was great and what was very impressive They made soup with the bones of the duck. However, there was possibly MSG in some of the food. The place was very busy clearly the advertising the restaurant is doing is paying off. Not sure I would go back again, but the food is very well cooked and tasty.

Lovely place in the Richmond Area. We reached around 30 minutes before closing and the restaurant was still relatively busy. We were seated immediately. Service was very good. Portions were large and we over ordered!! But everything was just too good. The frog legs were amazing as was the the tea smoked duck. The pork shoulder was fall off the bone tender and juicy. The Kung pao chicken was very tasty and so was the flaming beef.

We got shoved into a smaller table for a table of 5. We felt rushed, especially since the peking duck came out before any other dishes which took up the whole table. We all wish the pacing was different of courses.

We have had lunch there many months ago. I decided to try dinner because I was craving for Peking Duck which they have and is delicious! You would need to pre-order the Peking Duck a few hours ahead of time. My reservations for 6 people were at 6:00 pm and I called them the same day at 12:00 pm. Tried new dishes at dinner and it was all very good! Service was fast but nice staff. It was a full house for a Wednesday evening. So it was loud and that was ok for this meal.

Always delicious - Took some friends there who had only ever ordered deliver from them in the past. Ordering in is definitely a different experience in terms of fresh and hot!

The Peaking Duck is a must! The wonton soup, Noodles and vegetables were so fresh and spot on. Server Jessie was very efficient and kind. A must try in San Francisco and stop by next door for a Togo order of dim sum!! You must reserve your duck in advance on your reservation.

Make a reservation for special occasions. Our family enjoys duck, we can finish 3 duck orders between 9 adults. We also like the cold cucumber appetizer. If you enjoy duck, this is the place to go.

Great combination of food offerings - Sichuan and Beijing duck - what could be better? There was a bit of confusion with our Open Table reservation - seemed several guests had the same issue so the wait was a bit longer than expected but once seated we were served quickly with some delicious dishes!

Our waiter, Norman, held our table as our son was arriving from the airport. He was very patient and gave us helpful advice on our food order. Best Peking duck we've ever had! There was so much crispy skin and no fat. We loved every bite!

The food was excellent and service amazing. The restaurant is quite small so our large party sat at and awkwardly placed table. I'd recommend the duck and duck soup and cold sesame noodles!

I LOVE Chili House. Our server(s) are always prompt, courteous, and friendly. The food is always excellent. But I do wish there more non-spicy choices in the menu. Still, Chili House is our go to restaurant.

Delicious Peking duck, very authentic!! Highly recommended to go in a group to order food to share. Suggest the restaurant consider serving half peking duck to allow rooms for small table/solo-eater to enjoy different dishes, as leftover peking duck is not as impressive as eating it hot and first served in the restaurant.

Excellent Peking Duck. Make your reservation and call ahead of time if you are intending to order Peking Duck. Good service. Good food. I’d come back.

I have been going to the Chili House quite a few times with various friends. The food is alway delicious. This time, we ordered the Chinese cabbage with chili pepper, the Peking duck and Steamed pork dumplings. Everything was simply outstanding. We try something different each time and we always enjoyed the food.

Peking duck must be ordered 24 hours in advance. Cooked to perfection and plenty for 3 people. Staff is absolutely amazing too. Great experience.

Avoid, unfortunately, I read the reviews and tried it out, and it did not live up to expectations and is a poor price performer. Not all bad, the steamed dumplings, and service, were excellent. A couple of dishes were fine but expensive. But we went because we were in the mood for pekin duck, which was dry and tasteless for $69! The serving was remarkably large, so maybe this is one of those places that gets good reviews because of large servings, but the duck is really bad and a disappointment. And this is also one of those places that I felt physically terrible (as well as regretfull that I had spend $150 for a bad alcohol-free lunch) later in the day.

They took our booking for 8:30pm and when we arrived they said we would have to be quick as they closed at 9pm!! The main courses arrived before the starters, and they asked me to go to the till and pay at 9pm when I was half way through my meal. The next thing they had the cleaners and hoover out whilst we were still eating at 9:10pm! Very rude staff, avoid at all costs. Stay in China town.
