Best ever Dover sole in 50 years. A Seabass just as good as a one we ate in Nafplio Greece a few weeks ago. this is a fantastic fish restaurant but not just that it’s a fantastic restaurant full stop. we had a great celebration. In 35 years into Toronto this is probably the best restaurant we’ve been to. And thanks for the wine tastings.

Great atmosphere- food never disappoints. Squid, carpaccio and Cherne were all amazing and can’t go wrong with any of their deserts. Overall a great night out.

The service was impeccable. Our server guided us through the menu and even brought out a tray of sample with different kinds of Portuguese fishes they have. The place has real authentic Portuguese food and the ambiance took me back to my childhood trip to Europe. From the paintings to how it was decorated it was truly a little Lisbon in Toronto. I recommend trying the monk fish and for appetizers the chorizo.

Chiado’s has been there a long time— I’d always liked it, delicious high-end Portuguese seafood and great chops. A bit old fashioned some said back then— but they also have a cutting edge modern room and bar. But I’ve recently “rediscovered” Chiado and its better than ever. I’ve been 4 times in the last 6 months. The food is exquisitely prepared but not precious, served by formal servers in an elegant but not snobby room full of a diverse range of customers. Expensive but so special right down to the deserts (try the fresh berries sealed in a hand dipped chocolate cage). Its an elegant grown-up night out. The raw marinaded sardines are even better than the cooked option imo— but both are available. Can’t wait to go back! K. A. Troubetzkoy
