Food was underwhelming. French onion soup plated well but taste was lacking by a lot. Mussels were okay but sauce was not good, duck was undercooked, lamb was also okay.Flavors of everything seemed watered down. Wine list was not accurate either. I would not go back.

The outside patio was lovely and quiet! Both food and service were very good. One thing however: when telling about the specials for the evening, they need to mention the PRICE. We ordered the lamb chop special (hsving not asked the cost) and the price was $48, which is way above the price point of their other main courses!!!

We love this restaurant and its cozy outdoor patio. Starting with the fresh, warm bread, we enjoyed a delicious salad, lamb shank and hamburger. They offer all the classic french selections and valet parking.

Favorite spot for sure~ appreciate the update decor. Please ask your chefs to check themselves with their salt shakers! Too much salt overpowers anything else. The broth in the seafood = salt! The Brie appetizer could have been warmer. Everyone liked our server except for me. They were difficult to understand over the voices and their voice was loud and annoying!

This was our 1st time at Chez Joel and definitely will be back again! We had a party of 15 for my husband’s birthday and our waitress and the rest of the staff made the night special and perfect. Thank you for wonderful evening.

I had an incredible dining experience! The food was absolutely phenomenal, especially the duck confit which was absolutely divine. I must mention that Jose and David provided exceptional service and truly made the evening unforgettable. They were undoubtedly the highlight of my visit.

I was happy to see a robust crowd here at 6:30. It was lively and full of happy diners. It has been awhile since I was here and I'm happy to say it is as good as ever. Halibut special is outstanding. Coq au vin is perfect and enough for 2 (or leftovers for tonight). Wines by the glass cover a nice range in red and white. Like many restaurants, service could be a little tighter with one more waiter attending to tables. Otherwise, happy to be reaquianted.

Such a wonderful dining experience! We were greeted at the door by Rossi, then taken to a great spot to sit. The vibe was great, and you could tell this was a neighborhood gem! Rossi took care of us for the evening. There were quite a few excellent choices and I couldn’t determine. I asked Rossi to please choose my entree. He brought out Duck Confit. WOW. Incredible. We were so delighted with our meal and visit. We will certainly come back!! Rossi, thank you for such wonderful service!

Amazing food- scallops and tenderloin were perfectly done and the crème brûlée was so creamy and flavorful. Good wine list- recommendation paired well with food. Service was fabulous. A neighbor gem!

Went as a group of 3 on a Friday evening for a girlfriend's birthday and this restaurant far exceeded our expectations. Each dish was better than the one before. We had the baked brie, the poulet farci ( stuffed chicken), the bouillabaisse Marseillaise (assorted seafood), Filet Mignon de Bœuf Grillé au Jus de Cuisson, the apple tart, the almond cake, and the profiterole. I would highly recommend this bistro for a date night, birthday, or a 'just because' dinner. The staff was also very friendly and helpful with making selections. Thanks for a wonderful experience.

We are never disappointed when we dine here. My husband had grilled calamari for an appetizer followed by the lamb shank and crème brûlée for dessert. Our guest had the endive salad as an appetizer, the frogs legs appetizer as her entree and pistachio ice cream. I enjoyed the french onion soup, bouillabaisse, and chocolate lava cake. All perfectly prepared and presented. Service is always pleasant with the right degree of attentiveness. The tables are small and pretty close together, so it can feel a bit cramped when there’s a full house. But even though it was packed on a Saturday night, the noise level was just fine. We had no trouble having a pleasant conversation at our table. And none of us were under 60! We will most certainly be back!
