Loved the duck fat fries! I went for a brief meeting with a local leader, she and I ended up closing on a partnership that is mutually beneficial. The Steak salad sealed the deal.

Great dinner to start your weekend in downtown! Location is perfect with local parking and not over crowded. Food was served at a timely manner and service was excellent! Will be back again

Service was very good and pricing reasonable, but food was just average. Apps we had were particularly disappointing. It’s possible that we just ordered the wrong things, but then again…

Service was good. Food is the biggest downgrade. I used to tell everyone chapter one had the best burger in OC and duck fat fries. The first 4 trips I could say this but after my last time going it was just okay. They also changed the fries, total downgrade.

Visiting from out of town, if we lived closer this could easily become our "go to." A quiet Tuesday evening dinner. Great food. Very attentive host/bartender.

This is a really fun place to eat. It’s very charming and has pub food, with a twist. You’re not getting the same old thing everybody else has. And their portions are huge! I got the small plate Mac and cheese, I couldn’t even finish it. I went for lunch, and it wasn’t extremely crowded, but there was a large crowd there and they were loud. I imagine it’s pretty loud at dinner with more people. The ambience is nice and there is parking, but be sure to have cash for the lot as they don’t do debit/credit cards.

We went for dinner with 4 gals for a friend’s birthday. We all loved it! The food and cocktails were fabulous. Not a big menu (which I like) but great options. I will definitely be going back. Service was great and fast. I’m already craving it!

We’re regulars here and didn’t have plans for New Year’s Eve so decided to come here after receiving an email about their NYE menu. We were very impressed with our dining experience as usual. There were a few hiccups initially but it was extremely busy so no big deal. Dinner was excellent. My only critique is that the mac was a bit runny and the bacon bits were mostly fat/not crispy and lentils were a bit undercooked. Overall, delicious meal, would order again.

It was our first visit … intrigued by the “duck fat fries”. The food menu is very sparse, but my wife and I both enjoyed our food …. My short ribs were very tasty. Not sure if this is a bar that serves some food; or if they will grow into a more dining establishment that serves some intriguing whisky selections. Either way, we plan a return visit soon.

Loved the vibe of this place, it felt very comforting and friendly. Parking was a little messy, bring cash unless you want to park across the street. Drinks were made just right not watered down. Ordered appetizers, all very good, but I would highly recommend the mushroom flatbread. I ordered the steak and potatoes, medium, was a little overcooked but the flavor was perfect. Had the monkey balls for desert and they were good. Overall, a great experience and can't wait to come back here again.

Sunday Funday here! good D.J. playing tunes with football on all channels. Came here for brunch - had the chilaquiles - they were delicious. Mimosas, Bloody Mary's and really great Mocktails too - would be a great place to spend a Sunday afternoon watching football, eating and listening to some good music. It "might" be a bit loud for some.

We love this restaurant and eat here once a week. The food is fabulous. Great Chef and menu. We recommend and bring friends all the time. Especially recommend the Swim Shady salmon, so when they are out of salmon, we are disappointed. Last two times we were there, they seemed short staffed and were out of the salmon. Hope they can fix that. Otherwise, great place, food and staff. Very welcoming.

We tried this spot for brunch on a Saturday, and they had a club DJ at 1 in the afternoon. It felt really strange, since the restaurant was nearly empty when we got there. We were sat right next to his booth, so we couldn’t really hear each other for the duration of the meal. Our server brought us waters and then didn’t return for about 30 minutes. I think the only saving grace was the mac and cheese.

4 ladies out to dinner for a work reunion. All 4 meals were excellent! We had a variety of different entrees. Most menu items were very reasonable. There were 2 or 3 entrees that were a little pricey, but plenty f value elsewhere on the menu for a more frugal diner. Our server, Miranda, was EXCELLENT! So easy-going, kind and friendly! She delivered excellent service. We had a busboy, too, and he was awesome with his assist game. Nothing was missed, nothing was forgotten, from condiments to refilling drinks on cue! A very pleasant meal, all around!

Everything is fabulous at this restaurant. We ate there about once a week. We like it so much the staff are amazing. The chef really knows what he’s doing. He’s a real chef we have not had one dish that wasn’t prepared correctly and believe me we have gone through the menu! we like to sit by the window so we always book ahead with open table and get our table. It plays very cool music there. It’s a little bit loud for us as we are older but I think it’s perfect for most people. It’s very lively and it’s a great place to meet people and hang out at the bar too. We’ve eaten there for brunch lunch but mostly dinner and it’s always been absolutely great. Can’t recommend it enough -always tell our friends to go there.

The service was good. The food was good. Prices are reasonable. I would have rated higher but I have mentioned some issues on previous visits and they are still off putting. The windows at the front, where booths are, are covered in smears and handprints. It looks nasty and washing the windows isn't that difficult. The seats on the booths are just as nasty and some are torn. Literally covered in food stains and on this visit, actual food. The lack of cleanliness within the restaurant makes me wonder about the kitchen.

All around great experience. Our server was energetic and attentive. The food was served timely and was absolutely delicious (I recommend the chilaquiles). We had the michelada and it was on point.
