It took about 15 minutes for us to be greeted. Finally someone came up and took a drink order. It was a hostess. We waited even longer to get drinks when the same hostess took our orders. About 25 minutes in to sitting we got our beverages! Unacceptable. The server then told us 25 minutes in to sitting that our app was unavailable. We were wondering why we never got it so we asked about it, she only told us then it was not available! We got our food 55 minutes after sitting down -but only 1/2 the table-the rest of the table had to wait for their food. They got their food 10 minutes after us! No one acknowledged any issues. The manager knew we only got 1/2 of our food initially. He knew our food was very late! He never came over to check in, apologize- nothing. The server never apologized. I stopped and spoke with the manager. You were understaffed. On Mother’s Day, staff your restaurant. You know you are going to busy. You called us to verify we were coming. We had reservations. If things are falling apart in the restaurant, as management— check on your tables! What an annoying experience for Mothers’s Day! Plus you never did anything nice for the Mother’s. In year’s past you had a flower at least to the Moms. So bad service and nothing nice. We won’t come back. Don’t visit this restaurant until they fix the mgmt! Yikes—You can do better!

Very bright and open space. Service was attentive but not in your face. We all had salads for lunch and everyone was happy with their meal.

Coffee cup was dirty, appetizer never brought, sausages were cold, and our server disappeared after taking our order until we were almost done eating. She did give us a 15% discount, but I would expect more from a “high end” restaurant.

Service was friendly but very slow in a restaurant that was not busy at all. Food was tasty but very expensive for what it was. Steak Caesar salad is $33. Seems a bit much. Ambiance is stale / boring.

We’ve eaten at Cedar and Stone multiple times but it just wasn’t as good as it has been in the past. We were seated in the bar portion of the restaurant and there were plenty of spots in the main dining room. It appeared to be where they were putting any family with kids under 18. Again it was fine, but just felt like we were and afterthought. Food was fine but not exceptional.

Our server was not the least bit friendly. Acted like we were an imposition the entire meal. Have had great servers here in the past; was very disappointing, to see the least. Won’t be dining here anytime in the near future.

Braised short rib is bussin bussin . The short rib was tender. The red wine reduction was made the braised beef complete.it came with white cheddar grits and it was and tasty.full of flavor.Ill be back!

Man, talk about trying to drive your customers away for any repeat business.. Stopped at the bar first for a drink before dinner. I ordered a Blanton’s Bourbon on the rocks. My wife orders a glass of red wine. We get another glass of Red and a double of the Bourbon to take to our table.. You charge $36 for a single and $72 for my double bourbon. This is for a $40 bottle of Bourbon.. 2oz for $36??? This is absolutely 100% a rip off.. The red wine my wife drank. $23 a glass and this bottle is only $25 locally.. Your food was good but I’ll never be back.. Absolute rip off.

The vibe and menu look pretty good, and the service was attentive and swift. The food was what you would expect from a hotel (though the concept and website might me think it would be a step up - it wasn't) which is to say, not very good. THe fact that bread service was an additional $9 made me think we might be getting some kind of fresh parker house rolls. But no, they were very average, like the kind of frozen dinner rolls you would buy in a supermarket. And as soon as they cooled down to room temperature they were hard - which tells me they were stale before and just refreshed. The salad with maple dressing was good, the chicken was ok. Green beans were plain, I mean, so plain - no butter, or salt. Like, Delmonte out of a can bland. What was sad about this is that I am staying in Northfield and there are no restaurants there, so I drove 30+ miles for this dinner. I would say this restaurant should be the choice of JW Marriott guests who don't have the energy to walk through the mall and find another - literally, ANY other - restaurant.

The food was on point, despite it being a very busy Valentines Day. The carrots in particular were outstanding. I had no complaints, I ordered fries, chicken wings, carrots, kale salad, and the dinner rolls appetizer. My lady ordered the short rib with mashed potatoes and demi glace, she loved it. The service was outstanding as well. Overall it was quite spendy, but worth the cost for a special occasion. Sidenote if you enjoy a libation, they have an extensive alcohol menu.

Good was excellent and the service was very attentive without being too attentive. There was a large part of the far side of the restaurant that made dinner a bit noisy at first. We will definitely return as the shrimp and grits became a favorite at the table. The Brussels sprouts were also wildly good. The salmon was also very good.

We came here for brunch, and it really was not good. The prices are high, and the food is basically flavorless. If you do decide to go here, I would suggest the waffles or pancakes. Everything else was just not good. The server also forgot two things that we ordered, but we really didn’t care because the other food was so bad. Absolutely do not recommend this place.

Food was good, though heavy. Service was overly attentive (probably because they were slow) so I couldn’t have an uninterrupted conversation with my dinner companion. They asked how everything was at least five times during our entree!

The shrimp and grits were definitely the best entree I have ever had - anywhere! I had difficulty with the open table site and requested help from the staff as I was determined to pass this recommendation on. They were all amazingly helpful and personable. This is an oasis in the JW Radisson connected to Mall of America .

We had an outstanding dinner Friday night. We had excellent service from all especially our main server, Bill. Very attentive, great suggestions, and nice guy. Our drinks and meal came timely, and we had an enjoyable evening. It was in the middle of a cold snowstorm, so the restaurant was a bit sparce. My only complaint was that it was a pricey meal, but maybe I should have expected that because it was within a JW Marriott.

D’Anthony made a nice lunch into a memorable experience. Not only did he being my wife a bday treat (unprompted but welcome) he also brought us a post anniversary surprise of cheesecake. Everything was emmaculatw and well timed. I really appreciate the thoughtful less and care Cedar and Stone staff, particularly D’Anthony took with us as guest. A great experience and yet another reason to continue to patronize Cedar and Stone. Thank you to all the staff and management! Happy Holidays!!

When we checked in we expressed where we did not want to sit. The host ignored our request and sat us in the area where we just got done asking not to sit. I would like to acknowledge the wait staff and point out they did an excellent job! Not only were they able to relocate us but they recommended a lunch to try. And it was delicious! I would recommend this restaurant.
