It was amazing. Literally zero complaints. The pot de crème was the best dessert I’ve ever had. Our waitress was so cool. Will be back for sure.

Beautiful dining room. Food was hit or miss. We ordered a roasted spring onions special appetizer plate to share at the table and it was just (barely) roasted spring onions that were impossible to cut with a fork and knife without and had no or very little sauce or significant seasoning. Difficult to eat. The blue cod special was tasty. Our server was charming but somewhat distracted. Overall just an average lunch at a restaurant we were hoping would have been more enjoyable.

Interesting restaurant in Technology Square oriented towards nearby, err, technology workers. Decorated in New Technology style, which means deep carpet, neutral tones, open spaces, widely separated tables, bare walls, quiet. We were there for Mother's Day. Perhaps because technology workers at the high end of the game don't cherish this day, the place was almost full by 1:30 then emptied out. Buffet was excellent as were the choice of mains. Almost too many buffet choices but truly fine offerings of all kinds of salads, appetizers, tea sandwiches, etc. Kid friendly and they had a kids menu (pretty uninspiring but that's what they want until their palate develops) and manned flower-making station just for the little ones. Service was very, very good.. At $500 for four adults and two children (including tip, no drinks except coffee, which was excellent) it was right priced, in my opinion.

Mother’s Day brunch was a total ripoff. Charged extra for sparkling water and Lemonade. Put a gratuity charge with no warning. Good was mediocre. All for 100 + per person.

Mother's day brunch was just O.K. Wife ordered "Crispy Salmon" that was far from, wet and soft disappointment. Plenty of seating in various quiet and Mother's day decorated areas of the restaraunt, but we were seated by the kitchen doors and bustling bar. At one point saw a tea sandwich tower brought out then whisked away never to be seen again. YMMV

Amazing Mother's Day brunch at Catalyst. Great selection, fantastic staff and service - and the popcorn, cotton candy station, and flower arranging were such nice touches! Highly recommended

A gem in technology square! I took my wife Amy to Catalyst for her 60th birthday and we had a memorable experience. Great food (our main course of pasta with arugula, mushroom and shrimp was so tasty) , great ambiance, (I loved the high ceilings and the restaurant decor), exceptional service, (Matthew, our waiter, was attentive and conversational). The team went out of their way to make Amy's night so special. We even had a special meet and greet with the owner and chef!! We so much felt appreciated and valued. Catalyst get's it. We will be back!

I love Catalyst. It is the perfect place for lunch with a friend. The staff is very friendly and the food is excellent.

Despite the fact that we were a group of 3 with two over 70, we were seated right next to a loud long table of young people and the restaurant was not at all full. So this colored our experience. We have been here before and it was great but this time was marginal. The menu was quite boring, either a burger (which was good but overcooked), or 3 choices of pasta, fish, chicken or beef. The waiter was great and kept checking in but the food took forever to arrive. All in all, I doubt we will come back and it had been a fave,

Went to the Catalyst for our wedding anniversary and night out after a Red Sox game on a Saturday at 8pm. We stayed in Cambridge and this was in walking distance which was great. The restaurant was a bit on the quiet side for a Saturday night, but it was 8pm and is in the business district, but it was a perfect ambiance for an intimate dinner. Dan our server, was personable and charming. He gave us wine samples when picking what to go with our pasta. The tuna tartare for a starter was delicious, I only wish there were more of the fried chips. We shared the large portion of the pork bolognese and it was more than enough for 2 people. It was flavorful and filling. Dessert was given to us for free due to our anniversary, which was so sweet and unexpected! I would never complain about free food, but the dessert we chose we could tell had been frozen previously and wasn’t very tasty. It felt dry and underwhelming. But still a lovely end to a wonderful evening! We would go back to try other things!

We had drinks and dinner at Catalyst. Our server, Leticia, was friendly, attentive, and pleasantly patient with at least one overly -complicated drink order. The food was quite tasty. I had the little leaf salad followed by the braised veal shank, which was silky tender but still with some firmness. Someone else got the tuna tartar followed by the lobster tortelini, which came with some extra chunks of lobster in a light cream sauce. All came in a timely fashion but not rushed. Overall, it was a great place for a comfortable night out, with good food but not too fussy surroundings.

Great spot for both lunch and dinner, staff from the people greeting you at the entrance to the wait staff and maitre ds are all phenomenal.

Easter Brunch at Catalyst was very nice. The staff was attentive and the food was delicious. I like buffets for Easter as you are able to have some fruit and pastries and then were able to order an entree of the special menu.

Went for Easter brunch—$75 a person not including drinks. Sat in what felt like a conference room. Food looked/tasted like wedding/cruise food. Child-friendly with Easter activities. Friendly staff. Will not return.

Had a lovely meal at Catalyst last night. A great mix of Mediterranean and classic American. Pricing is on the higher side but not unreasonable and the food quality was definitely worth the price. Will dine again!

Had never heard of Catalyst before making this reservattion due to its location and menu. Food was excellent. interesting celery soup and the gem salad was refreshing. We had the Branzino, Beef Touredo and Tofu - all were excellent. good drink menu as well. Only issue is the place was empty on a Saturday night. Maybe Kendall Square is just a week day thing.

A lovely dinner with a dear friend. The meal was good and the service impeccable with our server attentive throughout. I was disappointed that the bar didn’t have tomato juice so was unable to make a Bloody Mary, but made do with a perfectly serviceable margarita. The restaurant was very loud with a large party of 20 or more a stone’s throw away, but we persevered. Always my go-to in Kendall Square.

Catalyst continues on the path of business oriented-, company gathering place. The food remains to be pretty good (kudos to the kitchen), but everything else turns into run-of-the-mill operation. There is a lot of rush and plenty of difficulties with logistics. One will be served with constantly changing, replaceable and not-too-knowledgeable waiters and if you hope to be in an atmosphere of hospitality and to feel yourself special as a guest / customer, you will be very disappointed. I feel that it was my mistake to chose the place for a small gathering (party of 4), because that led us to drowning in the sea of corporate groups and other work-related gatherings.

Nice dinner with my daughter. Love that the menu lets you choose from light bites to full meals, nicely done cocktails and service was friendly and attentive without being intrusive.

Catalyst is a great restaurant—we’ve never had a bad bite. The service is excellent, the decor is fantastic, there’s plenty of space. The only criticism we have is that it may be the skimpiest wine pour in Boston! Otherwise, we love it.

The atmosphere was warm and inviting, the servers were very attentive, and the food was good. There is a giant bar in the front of the restaurant, and when we went on a Saturday night at 7 pm, it was pretty empty, probably because it was 17 degrees and snowing. The atmosphere might have been more lively on another night, but it was fine with us as we were with an elderly relative.

I was worried when the restaurant seemed so empty, but we were both pleasantly surprised with the overall experience. Delicious food, cocktails. Fast turn over on the food once we placed our order and the server really knew the menu items. Large space so we may try to organize some larger group dinners here.

Everything we ate, with the exception of the crispy salmon was delicious. The branzin was wonderfully crispy and perfectly cooked. It was unusual that the salmon was not at all crispy perhaps because it was served skin side down. It was also overcooked but that was partly my fault because I didn't request it to be cooked rare in the middle. It still seemed a little overcooked even for someone who doesn't like any rare-ness. The restaurant was also chilly and by the middle of our meal all the diners were only on the other side so our side was completely empty.

Took my team of 4 Holiday Lunch at Catalyst yesterday (12/15/23). The non-alcoholic drinks are amazing. But the hit was the pork Brussels sprouts as an appetizer for the table. Superb. Set the mood for a fun luncheon. Thank you 🙏

Good service. Nice atmosphere. Three of six meals were overcooked but the restaurant handled it relatively well. Expensive and 20% gratuity was added to the bill without notice.

A wonderful experience with colleagues. Service was just the right amount of contact-attentive without being intrusive. Food was superb-complex flavors and not overpowering. Absence of tvs was a delight to create a space where company is the focus. For a very open floor plan, it wasn’t too noisy-moderate-where we did not have to strain to hear one another. A new favorite-I’ll return often.
