We went for the rat pack special on Thursday. John, the singer is fantastic. Well worth the trip. The venue can be loud and the service was a bit slow but pleasant.

What a great vibe. Food and cocktails were better than we expected. Server was very attentive and the band was amazing. We all had a great night.

Staff was great and let us change our table. Food and wine were excellent. Great value. Our group had the Ragu, fish and chips, and pork chop, and seafood tower. Huge portions and tasted fantastic. Place was a little loud to bring clients, but we knew that going in because they were playing jazz. The music was great. We are from out of town and so glad we picked this place.

Server didn’t have knowledge of her drink menu, ordered oysters they were great for the $1 deal, my drink had some cork in it from the wine bottle. We got a meat and cheese tray that tasted, look and felt like one you’d get premade at stop and shop, not even Whole Foods but like maybe even aldis. She seemed busy as the only server on the dining floor. So props to her managing the tables but food and drinks were not it.

The food was excellent. I was excited to see the speakeasy after dinner but it was a letdown. Very young crowd and came across as a VIP room in a bar. But the regular food and service was excellent

Great environment. Very funky and eclectic. Great cocktails and meals and very reasonable compared to boston establishment. Not fancy but fashionable. We love going there.

An absolutely amazing cocktail selection. Some of the best food and drinks I’ve had. DO NOT sleep on the Pear dessert dish.

We arrived at 5:45pm when it was very quiet; it was a lot noisier by the time we left. It's a beautiful restaurant with an attentive staff and great food and cocktails.

Another great evening at Carrie Nation. Delicious food, great selection of wines and cocktails. This was a live band night playing at the restaurant and attracted a more youthful and energetic crowd than usual. The speakeasy is a must to chill out after dinner. Missed the jazz vibes but will come back a Friday night.

Service was really terrible, to the point where it was an uncomfortable setting. The food was very mediocre for the price. Very disappointing. 0/10. Wouldn’t recommend.

Nicely varied menu, pleasant table service. The dessert menu skews to after dinner drinks. We were there a weekend night when a jazz trio setup and started there instrumental set at 7. It seemed a comfortable place to linger. Also, a “neighborhood “ menu (fixed price 3 course for under $40 per) was offered as well as the appetizer/salad/entree menu. The room fills with the sound of group conversations but the he ceiling and floor lengths draperies seem to muffle the sharpness, making conversations more a background. Good for couples and small groups.

Our waitress seemed to have half the restaurant so it was tough to catch her; it took about 25 minutes to get our drinks (2 glasses of wine and a lemonade) and later almost 30 minutes to pay the bill. For food, I ordered carrots and hummus plate. The hummus and carrots were tasty, but the oven roasted carrots were served lukewarm and served on a chilled plate. Also, $22 for 3 carrots seems steep. Have always liked Carrie Nation, but in the future like more of a drink spot than a meal.

Great food, reasonably priced for Beacon Hill/Boston. The speakeasy in the back was closed for a private party till 9:30. We arrived early for our 7:30 reservation and were surprised with a front row table for the Jazz trio that was playing.

Over all great! New Years Dinner, great pace to dinner, but expected a bit more explination from waitress. food was great! Drinks amazing. Ice cream freezer burn. We were told 90 minute restriction but then we had to go to front desk to get check after 2 hours.

We totally enjoyed our evening specifically because we loved the three piece jazz/contemporary band that played. It is so hard to find casual live music… we listened to Billy Joel, Sinatra, Elton John and Jazz Classics!! We had such fun.

The menu on the website is entirely different from the menu at the restaurant. Weeks in advance, I made a reservation for 6, and was very disappointed with the limited selection on the new menu and the manager. Almost all appetizers are fried. No tuna Tatar no flatbreads. If you like fried food and burgers you will enjoy the menu. When I told the manager I was disappointed as the menu advertised on the website is not the current menu. He was dismissive, and said the menu changed yesterday. The waitress said it changed at least a month ago. He then offered to see if they could make tuna sashimi. I said okay, and I hope you would comp this as my table already ordered 3 appetizers. He said why would I do that. He then said - if you didn’t tell me how to do my job may be I would have. Totally childish and unprofessional. I had been going to Carrie Nation for years, booked several office parties there. Good bye Carrie Nation!

It has been awhile since I have been to Carrie Nation and I am sorry to say I was disappointed. The food was just ok, 3 of us had salads with a protein and the bowls they were served in were too small. The service was terrible, while the waitress was very pleasant the service was not. When we were first seated she came over every couple of minutes but as the night progressed we had to wait too long for our second round of drinks and had to ask the hostess and another waitress for our check. While it was a Saturday night the dining room was not extremely busy.

Service was attentive, food was pretty good. My only complaint was the lighting and seating. We were in the front (dining) room and there is a glaringly bright neon lighting display near the little stage area -- it shone in our eyes all the way across the room. We were also seated just inside the door. I asked if we could be moved to a darker and less drafty table further into the room but was told no, the many empty tables I was seeing were all reserved. When we left 1.5 hours later after dinner, many of those tables remained empty.

Cheese board was very basic, not enough crackers in proportion to the cheese and were stale. Entrees took too long, and salads were small as an entree portion.steak tips on salad were tiny, not cooked as ordered. Overall our party of 4 will not be back.

The waitstaff seemed overwhelmed and very unorganized. I was a bit disappointed that I noted it was a special occasion when I made our reservation and nothing was mentioned. What is the point of providing the opportunity to share that information if it's going to be ignored?

Our waitress was Mia and she was exceptional. Food was great. We were able to enjoy each other and not feel rushed. This restaurant has the right idea how to treat patrons. Very cool vibe.

Been here many times for drinks and dancing, but my first time for dining as I had friends visiting from TX and took them here. They loved the story behind the name, service was very friendly and the food was great. Only two things we would have improved were the fact that one of my friend ordered a drink and never received it, and the helpers were a bit too fast in taking everything off the table while we were still sitting down. Seemed a little pushy though I assumed it was because the live band was setting up to play soon and they were moving tables off the floor. Notifying us ahead of time would have made things easier. Still highly recommend though!

my friend and I were visiting from Washington DC. This place was recommended to us by a young local. we should have taken that into consideration. We got there when the restaurant was turning into a club. The food was OK. The asparagus appetizer was phenomenal. It was so loud we could not talk to each other. I would go back if it was early in the evening, the server was great.
