It took 20 mins to be seated eventhough we had a table booked. The food was average at best. Bolognese pasta was overcooked, and there was barely any minced meat in it. The waiters were putting their hands in the main plates while serving. Disgusting. The bottle of wine came warm so it had to be cooled in order to become drinkable. 180 dollars including tip not worth at all.

Our server Ashley was the best!!!!she made the evening super special . Obviously, the noise level is an issue and negatively impacts the dining experience. I was very frustrated that I could never get anybody to answer the phone in planning my son‘s birthday dinner party. I was able to get Zach’s email address because my son stopped by the restaurant and emailed him twice but he never responded to my emails. Very frustrating especially as I was planning this long distance from Wisconsin.

Great time! Our table was ready within 15 min of arrival, and for a group of 9, this was much appreciated so we could make the show at the Al Hirschfield theater. The food was good, we ordered 3 entrees plus a salad for 9 people and found that to be a perfect quantity for us without leftovers.

Great it as Italian food! We ordered a seafood pasta and salad and it was good for five people! Mark, our waiter, oriented as perfectly about how much order. Reservations are mandatory. Even having one it took 20 minutes to be seated.

It was our 1st visit to NY and we hoped to have some authentic Italian food. This was a family style restaurant. We visited the web page before making reservations and we didn't see "family style" listed anywhere on the website. It was more of "Maggiano's quality food" - good, but not "authentic" - rather made for mass quantities. The service was polite and attentive; however, we were disappointed with our choice of "Italian" restaurant for our 1st visit to NY.......should have visited Arthur Ave like many people recommended.

Dinner at Carmine’s is a MUST when in NYC. We’ve been going for years and each time is just as great as the first time. It’s a hive of activity with many waiters running around, each perfectly executing their job. This NYC treasure is a well oiled machine that cranks out family style dishes like they were made in grandma’s kitchen. Our last visit was another memorable dinner. We ordered an appetizer special - burrata salad with grilled eggplant, roasted peppers, tomatoes, red onion, and the most creamy burrata….. fabulous. Dinner was rigatoni with white clam sauce…. amazing. Don’t miss this gem!

I am not satisfied with the restaurant. We were ripped off by the waiter, that's my opinion. He explained everything very friendly, even with the large portions. He said we should take a little bit of each and the meat too and no side dishes with the meat. But he didn't say that the meat was charged by weight. Of course, I should have seen it myself, but I trusted the waiter. I now understand why he didn't say that because the meat cost $150. Just because I'm traveling to New York doesn't mean I'm rich. I am a single parent and had to save for 3 years to make this trip possible for my children. And another thing, when I order an insalata caprese from an Italian restaurant, that's what I get and not like you get a few tomatoes and mozzarella and a lot of green salad. That's not caprese. The service from beginning to end was amazing! Our servers were knowledgeable about the menu options as well as recommendation on how many dishes we should order based on our group size. The food was amazing! I have never had an Italian meal that tasted that made me feel so full and brought so much joy. The spices, the family atmosphere, the décor; everything aligned so perfectly to what our group needed after a very heavy conference day.

We absolutely loved our time at Carmine's! It was a great experience and Jowan was outstanding. He knew exactly how to give us 5-star service by giving us tips in how to order family style so that everyone was delighted with the feast. All dishes are made for two or more to share. Fine for large groups. Not great for two people who don’t want the same meal. The amount of food thrown out must be staggering.

Horrible service- no water replacement and dinner recommendations were not good. Lost my credit card by server for 15 minutes after finally getting it back he said it was still in the machine!

I absolutely always love getting to go to Carmine's...we travel over two hours to get there...we waited and watched a table that sat after us get their order taken before us...not the end of the world but I am just saying...also we did not have a very attentive server...we ordered water and got a bottle which we did not order and then we asked for a second glass of wine and it never came...luckily, it was not on the bill...not sure our server understood us totally....we also had to ask for glasses when he brought the bottle of water...our table was not even set up when we were sat...I am in the restaurant business and I just got the feeling that our server could not care less about our experience.

We just had Sunday,lunch reservations,on 4/29/24. The doorway was overcrowded,Mobbed,uncomfortable! We got a table,for 2,on the left side,by the wall,it was so close,we had to move the table,in closer to us! We oreded,the Fried Calamari,which was good> and,next,The Stuffed Artichokes,which were terrible!!! We found the 2 .so distasteful,we had to return them! We exchanged them,for The Mushroom Parm. App. which was> Super Salty!!!Our, Waiter,Alerxander,was very good,and ,accomadating! We have futher resrvations,but, will probably ,cancel them! p.s. The Music,was very hard,to hear!

Always a must stop whenever in NYC. It has never disapointed me in many years. Usually we're 6 people and 1 salad and 1 entré are enough for all of us. At times we get the "Titanic" desert... always a winner.

There is ample and convenient parking in the Times Square area. Discount parking is available at Central Parking on 44th Street between 8th and 9th Avenue. Be sure to have your parking ticket validated in the restaurant. The nearest parking is directly across the street from the restaurant.
Métro ou Station
Carmine's is two blocks north of the Times Square 42nd Street subway station serving the 1, 2, 3, 7, N, R subways. The A, C and E subways stop at 42nd Street and Eighth Ave. The B, D, F and V subways stop at 42nd Street and 6th Ave. The MTA bus system also serves the area. The M7, M10, M20, M27, M42, 27,104 all stop within one block of Carmine's.
