The Canyons Restaurant is located inside the clubhouse of The Crossings at Carlsbad Golf Course in North County San Diego, offering breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean! With our unique culinary flare, stone clubhouse, vaulted ceilings, rustic feel, multiple patios, and private dining rooms, The Canyons is perfect for any occasion. We are located right next to Legoland and the Sheraton/Westin Carlsbad Resorts!

*Please note that the Canyons Restaurant is open until 3pm daily and Player's Lounge is open after 3pm. Player's Lounge seating is outdoors with the exception of bar seating. There is heaters and fireplaces outside as well as a wind wall for guest comfort.

Our experience at the Canyons was great. We went for brunch, and even though we arrived over 30 minutes early, they were able to seat us pretty quickly. The food was exceptional, and the view was beautiful. It was the perfect setting for our early Mother's Day celebration. The servers were friendly and helpful. The service was a little slow, but it was not an issue since we were not in a rush and enjoying the ambiance. Definitely will return!

The food and service was excellent. The wine selection was not as good. We had our choice of two whites and two reds but no Pinot noir was offered. We choice the Chardonnay but it really wasn’t very good.

It is SO very good to see The Crossings back in full swing again. Used to be our go-to place prior to Covid. Took them a while to return to their outstanding casual dining place! Only downside was when arriving to set on the terrace of the main dining room, as requested on Open Table, they had a special event going on and did not advise prior to our arriving. We were seated on the patio deck which was where we used to sit for Happy Hour - which was fine - even though the evening was planned as a very special two-birthday occasion. Menu has expanded and food very good! Katie was STILL there as our server; she was/is amazing and professional as always! Lovely evening.

Great location with nice views of the golf course and the ocean. We went on a Saturday, lunch time. The place did not look busy, but the service was a bit slow. I had to wait for our server a few times to ask for a few things and for our check. It seemed like she was the only one (I’m not 100% certain) attending to the customers on both the outdoor patio and the indoor dining. It was a chilly day and the patio heaters kept “dying.” The men who were in charge of them came back a few times to restart the heaters. We just gave up on it and just endured the cold weather, until one of the men decided to switch the whole thing. The food was okay, nothing extra special. They also have very limited options for hot beverages. There was live music in the indoor dining, which adds to the great ambiance of the place. I like dining at outdoor patios with nice views, so I am willing to go back when the weather gets warmer to give this place another chance.

The service was very slow, but we were not in a hurry. Food was good. Only real complaint was that the music was too loud. Could not visit with our tablemates.

We were seated quickly, our OpenTable reservation seemed to work well! Our waiter Matt was efficient, friendly and attentive. The food took a little longer to come out than expected, but it was tasty and filling. The Bloody Mary's were very good, they'd be even better with some bacon included! We had a relaxing and delicious brunch, you can't beat the view, and we will definitely return!

We went for their special Tuesdays in April 3-course prime rib dinner. It was very good and enjoyable. Started with salad with cranberries, nuts and cheese. Followed with prime rib with baked potato, asparagus and carrots. Dessert was a delicious Oreo cookie crust chocolate mousse. Great value and great dinner.

We went for their special prime rib dinner. Everything was exceptional. The quality of the food was comparable to a high end steak house. Service was prompt, friendly , and professional. Beautiful ocean view from the patio .

The wait service was excellent. However, the wait time from the kitchen was a bit slow but the restaurant was busy. The bar drinks, margaritas and martini were not that good. The prime rib was very good, perfectly prepared. Dessert was attractive and tasty.

Excellent service. A little chilly on the terrace, but no worries - Brandon immediately moved 2 heaters for us. He also worked fast so we could make nearby concert at Museum of Making Music with time for quick peek at flower fields. We will be back!

We've always enjoyed the quality and service and Canyons. The Tuesday Prime Rib nights in April are are great deal! The salad was a very generous portion to start. The dessert at the end was almost overfilling after the main course. The prime rib was delicious. The loaded baked potato and asparagus were easy compliments to the prime rib. Great meal. Great value. Great service. Great location.

We chose the restaurant for the views and we had a nice table so that was good but we sat for 20 to 25 minutes before our server took our drink order. I guess they were short staffed but we would have been fine waiting as long as we had something to drink. Music was really loud. Couldn't even talk.

This was a 3-course prefix meal. Started with a salad, then prime rib with vegetables and baked potato, and finished with a mousse for dessert. We paid $35 each, which was a great price, but unfortunately, everything that was supposed to be hot was barely warm and everything that was supposed to be cold was warm. Cold prime rib, cold vegetables and potato. Warm drinking water refills, and wilted salad greens. Bottom line, it was proven to us that one gets what one pays for.

We love coming to Canyons at the Crossings! We have never had a bad experience coming here or bad food. The staff is friendly and prompt. The food is always great! And with the new tables and chairs (the old furniture was getting a little "tired") there is nothing left but to come and enjoy the atmosphere, the view and the food! The only thing I would change if anything is the new time limit on the brunch "bottomless" menu. I fully understand the issue that they were having as we witnessed it first hand several times where people came and stayed thinking it was okay to pay for 1 drink for 5 hours of drinking and keeping a table tied up, but the new time I think could be extended to maybe 2 hours on the weekends?

We went for the Tuesday prime rib night 3-course dinner. Great food and service. Loved our servers! Excellent staff. Salad, wine, meal, and dessert were great. We dined outside with a nice view and heaters to keep us warm. Highly recommend.

2of us ordered French dip. Neither was edible. The meat was tasteless. No flavor. and very little cheese. The fries were good.. It was way over cooked and we think the meat was a very low quality, One in our party has a salad which was very ggod. All in all we were very disappointed. Food awful.

We had a great brunch here. There was live music and the server was fantastic! We had a large party and we were sort of loud and had lots of special requests which were handled with ease. The entire staff was friendly and accommodating. I will definitely be back.

Servicer did not approach our table for 35 mins. After which, we had to finally get up to remind them that no server has approached our table yet. Despite that, food was great and outdoor seating had a nice ambience. Just don’t expect stellar service.

Did the Valentine’s Day experience here. The food was great, the view was amazing, the romantic setting was perfect. The service however was fair… it was a 3 course meal and I felt like they were rushing us through each course. We got our salads and before we even finished our salads the main meal came, so we had to put the salads aside to put the main meal on the plate, leaned over and finished the salad then immediately into the main meal…. I did not like that, it felt like we were rushed and wasn’t able to enjoy the Romance of the evening with my wife. The table next to us sat there for 40 mins before being recognized, it wasn’t until the husband stood up to say something. Overall, everything but the service was great.

I had made reservations and requested bar seating as we went out for a large lunch. When we got there we were advised that the bar was closed. They said they would seat us outdoors, I said no, too cold, so they took us to a table for 10 in a separate room, I did not want to sit at a large table, being that there were only 2 of us. The menu was very limited--web site did not state regular menu not available. There were 3 fish entrees offered, and 2 raviloi dishses--lobster and mushroom. And the prices were expensive-- $30.00 somthing for mushroom raviloi We left and went elsewhere. I have eaten there before on a non holiday and it was great.

It was our 2nd annual Valentine's Day dinner at the Canyons at the Crossings. We went again because we enjoyed it last year. I did think it lacked some of the ambiance and service from the past year and was more expensive too. However, the food was good, and we still enjoyed the evening.

Made 5pm reservation to watch the sunset. When we arrived the dining room was closed. Apparently they don't serve dinner there anymore. Makes the description on OpenTable a joke. Also the "stunning ocean views" is pretty exaggerated. The food at the bar was ok and the service was pretty good but this place is way over-rated!

A late post for those that live in the community. A very lack luster event in comparison to years past. Past years your team had made a great event. This year was flat. Golf course had low attendance for this day. This would be a draw after a full round of golf. TV's all had glare. No large high pixel TV. Just a heads up. I am very glad I did not reach out to many in my community who live in Aviara. We do attend events and I do post on my social page.

The view was absolutely gorgeous (snow capped mountains on one side and the beautiful ocean view on the other). The golfing staff was wonderful. However, the food/bar service and the food left much to be desired. It took roughly 15 minutes and 3-4 times of flagging someone down and asking for the heater to be turned on outside. We were seated for at least 20 minutes before our drink order was taken and again we had to flag someone down. I'm glad that we were not in a hurry. The food wasn't that great. I got the chilaquiles, which were really dry and ridiculously spicy.. (yes, I can handle a decent amount of heat). It was still hot after asking for some crema to help cool it down. After golfing we visited the bar area and it took roughly 10 minutes for someone to take our order. We came for the deal we got during the holidays for the food, driving range and golf discount. After our experience here, we probably wouldn't return despite the deal. The golf course looks beautiful driving by, and had it not been water logged it may have been great, but the soggy, tore up course combined with our less than stellar experience at the restaurant and bar just didn't match our expectations.

We were seated promptly upon arrival and taken to a nice view table, for Saturday brunch.. A server arrived soon and took our drink and food order. When our food arrived, we still did not have our drink order. We told the person who brought our food, and he went to the bar and came back with the drinks. The restaurant was not busy, so it's a mystery why our server wasn't able to deliver them. We both had the Chilaquiles, one with Machaca and one with Charizo. Both were excellent and more than we could eat there. Excellent food will bring us back again!

Live music was the best part. Being with friends and enjoying the food and atmosphere. This was a nice place.

It is a great place to have breakfast or lunch during weekend. I prefer to be seated outside since I can enjoy the view and the sun. All staff members are friendly and welcoming. Food tastes great. I would be back for another weekend brunch with my friends.

We met for breakfast on Saturday with friends. The food was excellent. The value for the $$ is perfect! Will definitely recommend this location to our Friends.
