Capture a magical moment of Niagara-on-the-Lake’s past as you dine in one of its most historic buildings. The four-diamond Cannery Restaurant of today is reminiscent of its former life as a canning factory in the 1800s, where Niagara peaches and tomatoes were canned until 1957. Its agricultural past has been lovingly retained in its décor of rough hewn wooden beams, rich red brick walls and a hearth at the heart of the restaurant. Chef Mark Longster continues to serve up the best of the region in his menus which feature the freshest local produce and fine wines. Charming and casual Cannery Restaurant is the place to find all your favorites, from succulent steaks to catch of the day to a fabulous Sunday brunch. Chef Longster's food is prepared and presented perfectly, for your ultimate dining experience.

Great meal and experience after a play at the Shaw Festival, followed by a lovely stroll in the Gardens across the street.

You truly can’t go wrong with the Cannery. Once again the food and service was outstanding. I had the Baked Brie to start, and Mushroom Risotto and side asparagus and it was amazing. My mom had the soup of the day which was potato bacon, side asparagus and the salmon for her entree and everything was cooked perfectly. We ended up sharing the peach crumble dessert and it was also fantastic.

Hand down best prime rib I’ve ever eaten. I was worried because I had just had some dental work done and wasn’t sure I’d be able to manage a large piece of meat but it literally melted in my mouth

my wife and I had a nice dinner with another couple. cocktails were very yummy with a great wine list. Service was good and portion sizes were very generous but not too big. great flavour and they were accommodating to my wife's allergies.

This was our second time dining at The Cannery. Both visits were to celebrate our anniversary and the visits were two years apart. We enjoyed our dinner very much. The prime rib was especially delicious, as was the Caesar salad. Our server, Lisa, was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely return to this restaurant.
