We were a party of four, and enjoyed four excellent dinners, drinks and wine, and this is what I have experienced at Cafe St. Honore over the years, so the highest of marks for food and wine. However, the evening was sadly marred by a party seated next to us of eight very young people who were loud, with ear-splitting raucous laughter. We were stunned. Perhaps in future one might be advised to call Cafe St. Honore and enquire as to whether a large party is booked for that evening.

A wonderful night; excellent service; food is a bit more expensive- the ingredients are from quality suppliers, the food was delicious. We go for special occasions and this didn’t disappoint. Quite unobtrusive but friendly service. Thank you for a wonderful night

This Cafe is like a frech brasserie. It offers on a small menu always fresh and changing dishes. It has a beautiful atmosphere and gives time to eat and talk. The service is very attentive and answers every question. The food is made from local farms and mostly organic. It is worth to return frequently as the menu changes due to seasonal variations. Amazing choice!!!

I have dined at Cafe St Honore many times when visiting Edinburgh and always been delighted with the food and experience, but was disappointed on this occasion. I chose the Sunday roast, but it was cool, roast potatoes were hard and there were few vegetables. It seemed as if the food had been plated in advance and not freshly prepared. The best part was the bread!

The food was not great. Sadly, it wasn’t even very good. We ordered a starter and 2 entrees. My entree, the risotto was basically inedible. So much cheese or butter/grease that it was in-palatable (the bits of lettuce on top the only redeeming features). My husband ordered some type of beef and it wasn’t cooked evenly.

Lovely evening out with friends. Food was excellent as always. Lovely French style restaurant that has stood the test of time and remains an Edinburgh establishment. Service friendly and attentive. Lovely ambiance. Hopefully back again soon.
