This was to have been a graduation brunch for our daughter. We booked for 11 AM. I pre-paid $25 per head which is not specified on OpenTable. We got there and it looked more like a dinner menu. In fact it was labeled a dinner menu. Very awkward and disappointing moment for me since I planned it, we were one of only two parties in a restaurant and still dirty plates sat without being cleared longer than I would’ve liked

The crab risotto was nice. The beet salad was soooo vinegary it was difficult to eat. The quinoa was like poppy seeds. Let’s go back to the former beet salad recipe.

Our server Danielle was outstanding. It was so refreshing to have a server who was well informed, enthusiastic and very personable. The food presentation was outstanding as well. We shall be coming back!

The atmosphere was great at Cafe Navarre. Service was very good and they gave a rose to all the mom's on Mother's Day which was a nice touch. My only complaint was that the brunch was not so good. My wife had a lobster roll and it looked like coleslaw on a hot dog bun. I had french toast and it was pretty good but it was smothered in what I am thinking was a cinnamon goo which was not needed. I wish the menu was a little simpler was well as kid friendly too. Maybe having an actual kid's option on menu would be appreciated.

We have always loved Cafe Navarre. However, our server could have been a little more attentive, as he brought the wrong cocktail for my wife, and never brought a bread basket, which was requested twice. It was busy, so there is some level of understanding on our part. Outside of the that out food was excellent.

We were in town for a wedding and wanted to go to brunch for Mother’s Day. A friend from South Bend recommended Cafe Navarre, and we couldn’t have had a better experience.

Wonderful food. The service was outstanding. Our waitress even put in a special request for drinks not on the menu. Probably the best French Onion soup in the area. We had the roast chicken & crab risotto. Both excellent Definitely recommend Cafe Navarre & will come again

We love Cafe Navarre and eat here whenever we are in town. The food and service are normally unparalleled. The food was wonderful this visit, but for some reason the entree came out for one person in our party about 15 minutes before anyone else’s, which was really a shame. Even when I asked our server about it, there was no explanation and we still waited longer. Otherwise, everythjng was great - the manhattan I ordered was fabulous.

We waited quite a while for the hostess to return to the stand and seat us. No greeting was offered. We simply mentioned we were party three, and she took us to a table. Did not speak. Took us quite a while to get a server to the table as well. No water on the table. the server was quite attentive throughout the meal, however. Ordered a bottle of wine and it took a long time to get that such that all the members of the table had already consumed the rest of their beverages. One member of our party ordered a steak medium and it was very medium rare! Disappointing.

Everything about our dining experience was phenomenal. Top notch service and exceptional food in both quality and taste. Best Veal Marsala I have ever had, hands down.

Service was friendly and prompt. Tina answered all our questions about the menu in an appealing descriptive manner. My daughter and I split the crab cake appetizer, we each had our own entrees, and everything was delicious and satisfying. This was our second time there and we will definitely return.

Everything was great except the pork chop…which I’ve ordered a couple times in the past. This time, it was like what you get at a grocery store. Kinda disappointing. Not as thick and meaty and juicy as times before. Not the right cut. Flat.

Its been about 4 years since dining at Cafe Navarre. Food was excellent. Prices reasonable. Service was a bit slow. Bartender was overwhelmed and seemed a bit moody. Overall good experience.

Maggie was 5-star server who immediately elevated my cocktail by adding an ingredient I felt was missing. She was attentive to us, informative of menu items and food service wait times, and her friendly demeanor made us feel very comfortable.

It was a great experience. We were celebrating our anniversary and the took the time to sign a Happy Anniversary card for us. Every one was very kind and congratulated us. The waitress took very good care of us. Food was amazing. We chose the right to celebrate!

Cafe Navarre never disappoints. The service was on top of it as always. Dirty dishes were promptly carted away and drinks were refilled almost as we set down the glass. Our food was amazing. There was plenty of time in between courses to eat each course before the next course arrived. We did not feel rushed at all and still had an enjoyable experience. The staff is very friendly and you could see the managers walking around making sure everything was running smoothly. We will return again.

Wonderful dinner with friends. We were seated upstairs. Ambiance ok up there. My walleye was terrific. Friends ordered the spaghetti and meatballs. Very good but regular portion was too large. Smaller portion was available but waiter discouraged ordering. Service was attentive and friendly.

Perfect location for family Easter brunch. Menu had a variety that made everyone happy. Kids loved the mocktail options. They are already asking if we can go back next year.

We went for Easter brunch. Overall, the food and drinks were excellent. The cinnamon rolls were delicious. There were a couple of things I would tweak. The quiche was a bit too loose for me but the taste was good. Less milk would help. The waffle for the chicken and waffles was pretty dense. We prefer a fluffier waffle especially with how big the piece of chicken is on top. The salmon and bagel looked pretty basic. My son didn’t complain but def could use a better plating and a little more salmon. We will return to cafe Navarre next time we are visiting south bend. Service and food have been consistently decent.
