We really enjoyed our night at Brennan’s. The food was great as was our service. We were disappointed that Brennan’s is not adhering to their dress code policies and letting people in who were in tank tops, shorts, etc. It really brings the night down when you’re dressed up for a nice evening out in New Orleans and the people around you do not fit the standard per the websites dress code.

The service was slow, the choices on the menu looked great, but when the appetizer, shrimp remolaud, came it was the size of a silver dollar and most disappointing. Our entrees were also disappointing and room temperature. Our waitress was not present and did not attend to us as you would expect. We had to ask another waiter to go find her to take our order. The straw that broke the camels back was when my husband saw a mouse run across the restaurant floor. There are many delicious restaurants in NOLA I will never go back there.

We traveled with friends to New Orleans and enjoyed every moment of our visit to Brennan’s. Bananas Foster was sensational!!

This was our favorite meal maybe ever. I was skeptical to have breakfast for lunch since eggs aren’t my thing so I got sides: biscuit, bacon, cheese grits, and potatoes. Every single one was arguably the best I’ve ever tasted. Husband’s eggs Benedict was awesome… such a mixture of flavors. The bananas foster was incredible. Reserve this place for lunch and dinner, you won’t be disappointed. We mentioned we wish we had done every meal out there.

It was my adult daughter’s birthday and we were in the Queen’s Room, which was gorgeous! Historic Mardi Gras Queens graced the walls of this beautiful dining room. Our waiter Joe was professional, knew his job well, and provided us with fun and perfect service. The entire staff assigned to us worked in harmony and made sure we had everything we needed along the way. We began with the Oysters Jamie, which were in the shell, and the sauce was like nothing we had ever tasted. I would definitely recommend trying them! The Cochon de Lait was also delicious, and everyone enjoyed their Turtle Soup. My son’s entrée was the Lamb Duo. Unfortunately he said the loin was very tough, but the belly and the rest of the dish was perfect so he wasn’t complaining. I ordered the Blackened Redfish, which Joe explained was blackened with a torch. The plating was outstanding and the dish was unlike any Blackened Redfish I’ve ever seen. The fish was indeed a deep black on top. It was placed over a reddish mixture of crab and other ingredients that I couldn’t discern, but it was very tasty and worked beautifully with the fish. The “blackened” fish had a slight smoky flavor. I enjoyed it. My daughter had the duck and loved it. The steaks were perfect. Our meals were beautifully plated, and the dishware was just stunning. We ordered Bananas Foster and Joe explained the history while preparing it tableside. Don’t forget to pull out your phones if you want a video of the flames. We forgot because the history was so interesting. Then they brought my daughter a “Cotton Candy Extravaganza” for her birthday. I won’t give away the surprise, but it was so cute! She felt like a princess. More than anything, we enjoyed the atmosphere and the fun. Brennan’s is not just a restaurant, it’s an experience. Thank you so much Brennan’s for a wonderful evening we won’t forget!

Such a lovely classy place for any meal. We enjoyed a late breakfast and everything was prepared wonderfully. The staff is friendly and gracious. We also took a spin around the courtyard to see the turtles in the fountain. Would definitely return.

My first Brennen's experience was roughly 50 years ago. It was fantastic then and remains so now. The old classics are still on the menu along with some newer items. Service is impecable and our wait-person was a joy. Access a little difficult due to some barricades on Royal St, but we managed. Don't visit NOLA often, but the Brennan Family restaurants are a must.

We have been coming to Brennan’s for over 25 years for business and pleasure on every visit to New Orleans. Over the years we have found Brennan’s to be outstanding. We even hosted our son’s wedding party there, in addition to large business functions. However, on our most recent visit in May 2024 we were disappointed with everything from the hostess greeting, to the service (the main waiters professionalism was less than before and not as engaging as if in a hurry to leave, but the table service was excellent.) We still enjoyed our Breakfast at Brennan’s but “less than” many times before. We will probably go again next time in New Orleans but with less expectations of the experience.

La nourriture est très bonne par contre, bonne déception pour le vin. Nous avons commandé une bouteille de vin à plus de $155 et elle n’était pas bonne. Nous l’avons mentionné au sommelier et il n’a pas voulu en apporter une autre en nous mentionnant que c’était un vin âgé, trop froid, etc…bref aucune raison valable pour un vin blanc! Nous étions 3 personnes et n’avons pas consommé le vin, qui est resté sur la table. Je dois aussi mentionné que le vin était chaud et n’a pu être servi qu’au milieu du repas.C’est décevant pour un restaurant de cette qualité. Évitez de commandé du vin et limitez vous au repas!

Nestled in the heart of New Orleans on Royal St., Brennan’s boasts a very attractive atmosphere that exudes the vibrant energy of New Orleans. From the moment you step in, you're greeted with a vibe that resonates with the spirit of the Big Easy. However, while the ambiance may transport you to the streets of New Orleans, the service was not memorable. Instead of the down-to-earth and welcoming demeanor one might expect, the staff seem to carry a slight attitude, which detracts from the overall dining experience. As for the food, it's a hit-or-miss affair. While the flavors capture the essence of New Orleans cuisine, the execution falls short. On our visit, dishes arrived at our table with a moderate to slightly cold temperature, dampening the excitement of tasting the renowned flavors of the city. The prices at are a bit high for what you get. It's challenging to justify the expense when the quality and presentation of the food don't quite measure up. Despite these shortcomings, Brennan’s remains a New Orleans tradition, albeit one that struggles to live up to its reputation. For those seeking a taste of the Crescent City, the atmosphere may be worth a visit, but be prepared for a dining experience that may fall short of expectations

Our waitress, Teri, was incredible. She made the experience so enjoyable and easy. The food was also incredible - I would highly recommend going for a breakfast or brunch and then getting the bananas fosters. Will definitely be going back!

A must see spot in NoLa! If you love brunch, great service, a classy vibe and amazing desserts than make sure to get a reservation! You will not be disappointed :)

A truly great dining experience. The service was exceptional. Menu was excellent - a mix of some traditional dishes and some that were more innovative. Everything we had was excellently prepared and presented. They also feature an incredible wine list and great somm (Sam). We have been for brunch 3 times in the last 20+ years and it has consistently been a highlight of our N.O. trips. It seemed obvious that everyone in the dining room was having a great time. I would highly recommend Brennan's to anyone looking for a great New Orleans meal.

The Turtle Soup is the best in New Orleans The Eggs Hussarde is as good as ever Particularly with the story telling about Bananas Foster and Crepes Fitzgerald during flambé ( about their origins), these two dishes define Brennan’s Two new favorites: Crayfish Quiche Shrimp Creole Service and ambiance are impeccable

We choose to go because of certain diet restrictions and items on the menu. For one of our guests there was only 1 item that fit the bill. They ran out. Alternatives were plates of the vegetables that were the sides. Hardly imaginative or appetizing. The chef could do better for vegetarians. When we ordered a speciality drink, we were also informed they did have all the ingredients. You would normal think that two items would not be available. Also an issue was the gumbo was a bit skimpy on the meat. The Banana’s Foster was lacking as well. It was nice, but we have had better. It was a bit of an off night. This was not what one would expect from the signature Brennan’s restaurant. The others had a delightful entree meal. The food was very good. Our waitstaff was wonderful due to the lovely 2nd assistant. She was warm and accommodating and concerned. We did get our dessert comp’d in an effort to redeem the evening. We were having a grand time and did not let this impede upon that. I do not think we will be back as we have tried multiple times with the same results. We have a group of meat eaters and vegetarians. It just does not work.

Our most special time in New Orleans is here at Brennans. Everyone from the wait staff to the manager even the chef came to the table. I celebrated my birthday this week and it was so memorable for my family and I. Kendrick and Jeremy were our team and we highly enjoyed their service.

Everything was perfection. Oysters, duck, soft shell crab. Blackened fish. Darryl was a great waiter and our wine Sherpa was amazing. Definitely recommend.

Started well but service for drinks delivery slow. Lamb cooked in two ways - one was ok but the second type was just fat and had to be left. Disappointed

Surprisingly poor. Screwed up our drink orders. Eg server accidentally poured wine to in my wife’s water glass ( with water still in it… they did bring another glass of wine)I have a nut allergy and clearly explained it to our server … three times when ordering . However after I bit in to my food I instantly felt a reaction… there were nuts in the sauce! Arrgh…I had to get up and leave the table and was going to look for a local pharmacy… luckily on my way out… the restaurant manager had Benadryl and I was ok. Manager and waiter apologized profusely. They did comp my meal. Food overall was fair. One could tell this restaurant was perhaps great , but no longer so

I’ve been to New Orleans a dozen times and never made it to Brennan’s. I thought maybe it was over rated… it’s not. Our waiter, John, was perfect. He gave recommendations, but didn’t push. We had the Oysters J’aime (delicious), their version of traditional eggs Benedict, which my partner said was the best he ever had, and I had the Benedict with fried artichokes (John recommended adding a side of fried oysters) and it was amazing. The brunch was great. The meal did take almost two hours, but I think that was also the waiter giving us time to enjoy the experience, which again, was great.

Had brunch at Brennan’s for my daughter’s 25th birthday. The service, food, and attention to detail was impeccable. Everyone we came in contact with was excellent. Pleasantly surprised by the special dessert for her birthday.

Fabulous service, as if from another era. Lunch was mostly a breakfast menu but truly delicious. We were on a waiting list but received a last minute reservation. Location both romantic and good for groups. Food was spicy, the oysters and the shrimp creole. Banana Foster was rumrum rum delicious

Wow! Brennans blew us away. I booked this for my mother’s 70th birthday. We were showed such hospitality from beginning to end. The food was so amazing! Had the lobster omelette and the fresh fish with eggs. Drinks were delectable. They sent out a cotton candy cake with candles and sang happy birthday. We went to ALOT of fine dining establishments that were equally wonderful but Brennans sets themselves apart with the service. If you are in New Orleans, this is the place to go!!

Wonderful to be able to finally experience this most famous fine dining restaurant in New Orleans. The service was top flight, food was tasty and finely prepared, and the ambience just lovely. I could not recommended it more. Bon appétit!

The food was beautifully prepared. The dishes were not over-spiced so flavors were distinguishable and delicious. Just lovely. We were celebrating a birthday and everyone treated our birthday girl with such kindness and respect. A special shout out to all of the staff there. Chalaine, our server, took especially good care of us. Thank you again to all the staff at Brennan’s!
