This time we were there for a Mother's Day special buffet. A beautiful display of delights starting with salad and chees offerings. Then 3 carving stations. The prime rib was outstanding. Next was an array of dishes to meet anyone's pallet. My favorite was the crusted grouper. We have been there several times and never disappointed.

I was sooo excited to be honored in such an elegant way, queen for the day experience at Braised Onion for Mother's day. The staff made me truly feel special. But this was way over priced. A few food items were bland and I was hoping with all my heart for a succulent slice of turkey, but sadly it was not real turkey. More like a Jennie'o processed turkey loaf. Very disappointed 😞. Thank you though for a wonderful time!

The lunch was ok I’d try again, the desert was the best I ever had in a very long time… I would go back just for the desert menu and I do t usually eat desert especially cheesecake

My pecan crusted salmon was delicious. Drinks and wine were generous. Wait staff was very friendly and attentive. Would definitely go back for the food and ambiance.

What a treasure we found in Ocala, Florida. We were traveling back to Tampa from Savannah and searched Open Table to find a restaurant for an early dinner. Braised Onion was superb, I had the chicken special and my husband had the short rib stroganoff, both were delicious and they had a decent wine list. I highly recommend this place, it has a nice local support which is always a great sign for a good restaurant

The Braised Onion is always a great dining experience. Last night I had the stroganoff and it was delicious. Other people had the grouper and the salmon and enjoyed them both very much. Our server was efficient and polite. This restaurant is a neighborhood gem!

Our favorite place to eat since moving to FL! Great ambiance, attentive staff, and out of this world food. The lady Diana bread pudding was phenomenal and the double chocolate mousse was outstanding. A must try!

We always enjoy the food and service provided by these great folks. From the superb chef and co-owner Guy Lemeiux, the remarkable pastry chef, the bartender who makes an exquisite Cosmo, to the service staff (thank you Andrew), we thoroughly enjoyed our Easter dinner.

There were 4 of us so we had a variety of food. Here is the breakdown: Fried green tomatoes 9/10; short rib stroganoff 6/10; shrimp and grits 10/10; blackened grouper 0/10. (it was still raw); bread pudding 10/10.

As always our meal was a stunner. Food is always consistently good no matter what you order. Love the huge onion fritters. Chicken fried steak was crispy outside but meat very tender inside. Also decadent lobster mac & cheese. Great bar as well.

We had a great experience! The onion fritters are so good! We will definitely be back for those. The short rib stroganoff is delicious. The French onion soup is another winner! I mean everything is great. My husband had meatloaf and loved it. I also had the poached pear salad-delicious. You can’t go wrong here. Sherrie was our server and provided excellent and friendly service! She made our experience even better.

We have returned to this establishment for the second time, as everything about it is delightful. The lobster risotto is a standout dish that I had to order again. The crème brulee and bread pudding surpasses most desserts that I’ve had in high-end Tampa restaurants. Highly recommended

Three of us dined on Friday night. We shared the onion fritters which were tasty. I had the lobster bisque soup and the cobb salad. The soup was very watery, and the salad was good. My husband had the liver and onions which he has had several times and there was barely any liver on the plate. Our guest had the eggplant stack which was one of the specials for the night. Overall, the food was okay, but the service was terrific.

Service as well as food were all excellent! The lobster Mac and cheese is the best I have ever had in a restaurant. The salmon was nicely crusted and melt in your mouth tender inside. Desserts were delightful. We had a nice quite dinner here.

We have eaten there many times before We have also had the liver and onions before but tonight it was not up To its usual standard. The liver was dry and the onions were almost non existent. The potatoes also came out lukewarm. Actually the piece was not that big. Have had elsewhere with usually a very generous portion We will most likely give it another try

Food was very poor no taste to anything. Tiger shrimp overcooked was like chewing gum. The spaghetti sauce tasted like it can out of a tin had very little taste, one had braised short ribs meat had no seasoning tasted very bland the mashed potatoes tasted like wall paper paste no seasoning. Not one person out of four of us could say that they enjoyed any of their meal . Would not recommend it to anybody.

As always our meal was awesome I had the beef stroganoff my wife had the pork tenderloin, both of our meals were very tasty!
