The food, as usual, was excellent. Lawrence was our server (not the first time) and we are always happy with his service and attention to details regarding the menu and cocktails! We were happy to learn of the 1/2 orders of certain sides. We will be back soon!

Have been coming here for at least 5 years even before we bought a home nearby. Honestly, it is not the same. It's still very good but every recent visit has generally had an issue that a high end establishment should not have. Drinks were awesome as was the wedge salad. My husband had the escargot which he said were good, but the toast points were a bit soggy. Our steaks were internally cooked properly, but the outside of the steaks were cold to the touch and had to be sent back to be put under the broiler.The au gratin potatoes were excellent and the mushroom side was good, but perhaps a bit under seasoned. Service started out fine but the salad arrived while eating the appetizer which is not what was requested, nor should happen. We did have the opportunity to dine at our own pace thereafter. All in all, while a very good meal, we had a few disappointments that should not occur here.

Had visited Bowdie’s in Grand Rapids and the Saugatuck location is equally as good. Just a fantastic dining experience from beginning to end.

Elijah was our server and he was absolutely amazing. Hands down best server we have ever had. His knowledge of the menu and just overall friendliness and energy were great. You can really tell he loves what he does and talking with people. We were there almost 3 hours and some of the last to leave and got to have many short conversations with him. His drink recommendations were top notch as well. Food was amazing and overall experience was amazing. Definitely will recommend everyone to this restaurant.

We arrived for our reservation for a late dinner and were promptly sat by the hostess. About 5 minutes someone came by without saying a word and dropped waters off then walked off. We then sat there for almost a half hour without a server coming to the table to even acknowledge us, let alone take a drink or appetizer order. While we were sitting and waiting, at least 10 different staff members walked by us and no one even looked our way. Shocked and disappointed is an understatement. We finally grabbed the managers attention and she kept giving excuses as to why food wasn't done (kitchen is small, guests won't leave, lots of people waiting), but she wasn't even listening to my issue: I had never even been given the opportunity to order a drink, let alone an over $100 steak, which we're planning to do. Last time I checked, drinks don't come from the kitchen. She seemed frazzled and overwhelmed. The manager admitted multiple times that the resultant did not currently have the capacity to provide the service they were accustomed to providing. She didn't even attempt to remedy the situation for us. I would expect more from a manager at a high end restaurant. I understand staffing and kitchen limitations, but then you need to sit the appropriate amount of tables. It comes off as greedy and money hungry to keep shoveling people in, knowing you can't provide them good service. At a restaurant as expensive as Bowdie's, I would expect quality to come first. We ended up walking out and leaving just to see that they sat someone else at our table not 5 minutes after, proving that they do not care about providing good service to their customers, they just care about padding their bank account.

I truly regret your experience . A convergence of circumstances led to an unprecedented breakdown in our service . Having said that, the staff here are deeply committed to hospitality first and foremost. I would encourage you to read some of the other reviews. We are a place comprised of humans and therefore are not immune to an occasional error.
