We have been customers for nearly 20 years, so we had to come back before Boogaloo closed. As always, the food and drinks were delicious (jerk chicken wings, NOLA BBQ shrimp, gumbo; Sazerac, BeachBum), service was friendly and prompt, and the swings at the bar are great fun. A classic place that will truly be missed.

We did not know that the place was closing the night we booked so it was pretty chaotic and they didn’t have a lot of food. The workers were trying so hard and they were so busy, but it was not an enjoyable experience. We really have enjoyed this place in the past so I am sad that they are closing, but I wish I had known that prior to dinner.

I’m a portly man…I like to eat and I can’t remember a time that I left much on my plate at a restaurant. Tonight, three-quarters of my Jambalaya remained on my plate when I left the restaurant. The water tasted awful I think it was from the iced as all of our drinks (soft drinks and drink specials from the bar) were tainted with a musty taste. Our diet cokes were COMPLETELY flat…I mean NO CARBONATION. I was excited to try the Jambalaya but when it arrived I felt that the taste was bland. The only taste that I did find overwhelming was the shrimp, chicken and sausage that ALL tasted old and overly refrigerated. I stopped eating because I was concerned about getting ill from the food. Thankfully, I have not become sick, so…that’s good. The other people in my party thought their food was so-so. Tonight will go down as my worst dining experience as an adult. Swings at the bar can’t make up for food and drinks that just taste awful.

The food was great, but the service was very slow considering they were not busy at all. The ambiance is not that great and the drinks were very sweet.

The server was fantastic..the craft drinks are very good The food could be a little Spicer since it is suppose to be Creole. The disappointment came from the dish I order which was suppose to be Cuban rice with flank steak..but it was definitely chuck roast,and why it was okay I know flank and that was not it. Maybe food cost are getting to high for resturants but probably should take off menu then..

Perfect birthday spot for small groups I wouldn’t suggest anything over 6 people however there food was amazing the service was awesome and for people who love pictures like me there are more than a few spots to get great memorable photos!
